I am going to Bryan this Friday by noon. My yougest son starts pre-k on Monday....makes me sad I'm gonna miss it but I'm glad to finally get it started and over with. I was sentenced to 20 months but am going to try to get into the boot camp once I get there. I called the prison and they said since it wasnt ordered by the judge I have to wait and talk to my counselor when I get there. My dad is in Beaumont now but is going to be transferred to a medical facility in Fort Worth. He has seen 2 doctors there and they both said they have no idea why he was sent there with his medical history (back surgeries, high blood pressure, agent orange expsoure from vietnam, etc.) I finally got to talk to him last night on the phone. He said he is doing fine and made a ciagarette roller out of a pencil and plastic bag that works pretty well...I thought that was funny. He said Beaumont is kinda weird compared to other FPC (according to other inmates) because it is surrounded by so many other different security level prisons but as long as you do what you are directed to then you dont have problems with the guards. They are not mean or disrespectful he says so that is a relief to me, knowing that I don't have to worry about him. If any one would like to write him I am sure he would appreciate it, he said that is pretty much the main thing you look forward to everyday besides TV time, and my dad is 59 so he doesn't get in the room first, and that is who gets to pick the channel....lol. There is nothing else to do but to stay strong and be glad that neither of us got 15 or 20 years versus months. I hope I can take some correspondence classes or do something productive while I am in there. Dad cant qualify for a half way house or home confinement because he is being moved to a medical facility so I might get out before him even though I got 20 and he got 15. Especially if they let me do boot camp. That will be good because then I can get back to work and be back with my babies and send him some money for his commisary. I told my kids the truth and drove them by the facility in Bryan. They have a playground there and they will be staying with my mom about 3 hours away so she will try to bring them up about once a month. Does anyone know about any state financial assistance she can get since I will be incarcerated? I contacted the agency that gives money to foster parents here in texas but they only do it when kids are taken' away by CPS. So basically since Im not abusive all she can get is foodstamps, medicaid and TANF. She cant work due to a disability and is waiting for a decision from Social Security. Sorry this is so long but everyone here has been a wealth of information so far and I have alot on my mind.....lol. Here is my dad's address. Thanks everyone in advance for your advice/info...

Goldy, you will be right down the street from me. (5 min.) I know you will have your hands full when you self surrender but if you want to go to lunch or anything before you enter, let me know, it's on me.
If not know we're thinking of you and if you would like to send me a letter or anything to communicate with any of us about whatever, you are more than welcome to.

Thank you David you have been a huge help through out this whole ordeal. Without all of you @ PTO this would have been a lot harder. It makes things easier when you can talk to people that have gone thru or are going thru the same thing you are. This will probably be my last post since I have less than 24 hours 'til I report. God Bless all of you.
