I got conditional discharge from the court and was put into probation (no youth or criminal record). I had been good and finished my probation with good terms on Feb 2008. I have just been chraged with Uttering sexual threats online, where is totally stupid. I committed the crime (uttering threats) on Dec/04/2007, but got charged on March/03/2008. I was wondering if I breached my previous probation which ended feb/2008?...I had no idea the girl I sent the threat too on msn would take it THAT seriously and call the police on me. The police took 3 months to gather the information and evidence they need to charge me. I am kinda scared right now because I don't want to get charged more than I should. I am already getting charged for Uttering threats, will I get charged with breaching probation? thx!

It is doubtful you would be charged with violating probation. A probation order cannot be enforced after it expires. If you had an outstanding probation charge before it expired then that could be pursued by the authorities. In this case it sounds like they charged you AFTER if expired, which means they can only pursue the uttering threats charge.

PHEW!!!...thx for the reply! It really got me worrying if I was going to get charged more than I should...it is VERY GOOD to hear I would be fine...I am planning to get my game together and start skooling again..I am glad my life won't b over now..thx! =D
