I have answered threads on here I'm available for any more questions. When you get to Carswell you will see a PA and he will prescribe your meds except for narcotics. You will have to see the doctor for that. Some people see them in a timely manner but I was there 5 months before I saw the doctor. I was never on narcotics. It's prison and the medical care sucks. They are slow but they do get things done. It's not a nightmare place, nothing like on TV. It's pretty much like a nursing home. Medical and gen pop are together and maximum is locked up behind the highrise. If anyone has anymore questions just ask.

My girlfriend is there on the 4th floor of the tower. She works as a 411 operator. With the emails and she calls me everyday...she does not seem to mind it there very much...atleast I have not heard her complain about anything. She really wants to be here with me and with all the halfway house rules...it's doubtful she would be able to spend much time with me...since we are not married. It would be April 09 to the halfway house or August 09 for full release...and she could come live with me (I live in the DFW area). The biggest decision for her right now is the halfway house or not.

Other than sending her paperbacks, magazines, and money...is there anything else you know about that I could do for her?

My mom is going in Dec to the medical unit for 9 months, she is 57 yrs old. I am very scared and nervous for her, what can she expect? Are the guards very nasty there or hit the inmates?
