Did you try the GTL automated prepay line? I have never found it to not be accessable and you don't have to speak with anyone, just follow the prompts.

Finally! I was able to find that number. It wasn't anywhere conspicuous on the GTL website, so I did a search and found a PDF thingy with it. Then, THAT number was so busy that it kept saying the call volume is too high, call back later! After an hour of this I finally did get to talk to him... but I still hate GTL!
