If he has a phone list already set up sometimes it's only a few days, but if he has to get all the info in to them it can be a couple of weeks. It really depends on whose taking care of things there and how fast they check things out and get him set up. Sometimes they will have someone else call for them to let you know they are ok. Hope you hear from him real soon.:)

My son was just transferred to JO Davis at 12 AM Tues. night.
I believe it was 8 men that got transferred.
They were nice enough there to let all the men transferred go in the sergeants office to make a collect phone call to let the families know that they were transferred and everything was OK. My son told me it might be a few weeks before he called me using Prison Calls Online as they were having problems with the phones there. I hope this helps you.
I am so happy he is out of Bullock. Even though it's a longer drive about 18 hours now it will be worth it.
