Please someone explain to me ,why does it take so long for the officers to get people in on visitation day.I do see alot of wasted time because they don't get in a hurry even when it is raining.Has anyone else had this problem.This is at Tutwiler in Wetumpka.

Debbie we have this problem at all the prisons...alot of them do this because they can. It's like we all pay for our loved ones mistakes and alot of these CO's have no heart and seem to enjoy bringing as much stress to an already stressful situation. They make visitation hard on the families and try to ruin what little time you have with them after most who travel a very long way to get there. Cruel but it happens alot and when you complain they only get worse. Welcome to the good 'ol ADOC... No I'm not against CO's I have friends that are CO's and I don't think they are all like that but they can't change everyone they work with.

Thank you so much for answering me.I know all Co's are not the same .My daughter says most of them are nice she has witness some mistreatment but you know that goes on every where .My son-in-law is going to work there,hopefully he will be fair. He will not be in the same Prison she is in .I pray she will be out soon.

Maybe your son-in-law can be a shining example to the others he will be working with. The two I know are good people and have witnessed one inmate shopping for snacks and he didn't have enough money to pay for his stuff, so he was going to put something back and the officer wouldn't let him, he finished paying for his snacks. Just small things like that humble you and let them know they are cared about. If only we had more like these men and women, things would be easier for us all to deal with. Just treating someone with a little dignity goes a long way in prison.

I'm sure my daughter will keep an eye on him she has seen alot going on she said you can get any drugs you won't that is so sad.Our Gov should be on top fo this.
