Hi this is Debbie54 my daughter is at tutwiler and she has just entered a program. called crime bill my daughter is really busy she said it is like the miltary.Does anyone know anything else about it?

Debbie from what I've heard it is military like and I believe it lasts 6 months. Maybe someone will come along soon that can tell you more about it.

Thanks so much I have heard some people say it is real tough .My daughter wrote me and said they have to go to everymeal breakfast at 3:30 and so on .Also writing essays that are 1000 words are more she said Mom it is tough but I can do it because I want to be with my family .Please keep all of us in your prayers.

I completed the Crime Bill in Jan of 2007. It is a great program! I believe it saved my life. The Mrs.D and Mr.Mitchell are both wonderful, they are tough but they do care about us. I have been out for over a year now. I did what they told me to do and I'm drug free and happier than i have ever been.Anytime you have to take an honest look at yourself it is hard but the rewards are more than i ever dreamed.

Is the Crime Bill attached to the SAPP deal?

Yes, it's Crime Bill SAP (substance abuse treatment program).

Most if not all of the ADOC facilities have it, the only program more intensive in Alabama is the Therapeutic Community program, which is at St. Clair, Ventress, and soon will be at Limestone as well. I don't think Tutwiler has TC.

That is great to hear! My GF is there in the Sapp deal. She really wants to get a life without drugs, maybe the structure, and disipline can help her. This could be what saves her life!
