Hi Bee. If you do a search here on "Gowanda" you will find a lot of information. There are no color restrictions on clothing for visitors as there are for inmates. Inappropriate clothing is basically common-sense.... don't wear any see-through tops or plunging necklines. No very short skirts, shorts, or dresses.

They're right about the color thing - anything's OK for visitors. But to get through the metal detectors, try to simplify - no underwire bras, and no steel shanks in your shoes, minimize your jewelry, hair clips, etc. Take a decent amount of folding money for the vending machines. Belt buckles can cause problems, too, by setting the metal detectors off.
