Hi all my PTO family! How are you all doing? We don't post alot about what each other are doing and how everyone is physically feeling so I thought I would see how you all are.

I woke up with this horrible sore throat and a runny nose last night. Not been feeling all that great all week. But last night topped it off. I had my grandson for the night so I just pray he won't get sick.

WE got about 16 inches of snow in the last two days. I'm so sick of snow!! Although it sure is beautiful on the trees it just doesn't seem to be letting up here in MI. Charlie my son is about 4 1/2 hrs from where I am. He said they didnt' get any up there so I was thankful for that because he likes to get out and walk each day and lift weights in the small weight pit they have.

I hope your all having a good week. Your children are having a good week and your all feeling well. I'm keeping each one of you and yoru families in my prayers everyday. Know that God is walking with each one of us.
Have a nice weekend! (((HUGS)))

Poof there went another Post ..... Hi Vi, I'll try this again. I had a reply all ready to send and I don't know what happened to it. Oh well, anyway I hope you feel better soon. I got so sick last year, I'm hopeing I don't get sick this winter. It's been really warm for a few days here but the weather said it's about to change in the next 24- 48 hours. We have'nt got much snow here this year. That's fine with me I really like to see it but the cold makes me hurt so much, I can do without the snow. But I bet it pretty where your at. It was so nice of you to ask how everyone is feeling. Thank you and you take care of yourself, eat lots of soup and stay warm. Bye for now, Mercedes

I'm packing my bag, moma, as we have snow here today too and the burgh will be extra cold tomorrow.
Vi, my son likes to go outside in the yard and lift weights too. I am so glad he can see the outdoors. county jails never let him outside.

Vi, My BF and I were sick about 12 days with the symptoms you describe. what helped was:
Alka Seltzer day and night capsules...not those fizzy tabs, this is new.
also really nice is to rub your neck with Vicks Vapo rub and wrap a sock around it and secure the sock. really!

Doing fine down here in Mexico, and expecting another 80 degree day. Hubby is in WA. for his mother's last days, and he was terribly ill yesterday, and couldn't even get to the hospital. There's about 2 feet of snow where he is, but las week he was in Tennessee, where it was raining and very cold. I'll be glad when he's home.

All passes through the Cascades here in Washington State are CLOSED. My place in E. WA has almost 5 feet of snow on it, so hoping my buildings do not collapse.

The upside, since my visitation has not gone through, I won't be driving to Walla Walla to see my son. All the traffic going east must go via Portland, OR (the easiest way for me to go to son's prison) so I guess it's a terrible drive due to congestion now.

They have declared Spokane, Stevens(mine - an hour north of Spokane), and some other counties there in a state of emergency. Now it is warming up so avalanche dangers.

Moma I'm ready to head your way too. Hope you have lots of room for me and Jancy;)

Jancy thanks for the precription I can't take the alka slezer but I can do the vicks Thanks! I hope your having a good weekend.

I think that it's so important that the boys get out side. They have to get that freshair or they will get depressed and that's not good for anyone not to be outside. Charlie is in the country too way up in the U.P. here in Michigan. I'm thankful he can get out.

Vi, watch that sore throat, I had strep, I would take 10 days of antibiotics, 2-3 days later, right back at it again, this went on forever finally developed what they said was secondary infection. November-January I delt with this battle. finally I am on the mend but scared to death to go outside and get a breath of air, or into public that I will pick up something else. I had pnuemonia from August - October then the strep after that. Please take care of yourself and seek medical attention if it continues.

Sore throat, no runny nose and no snow. I used to have cronic allergy related sinus problems. They've gottten better the last few years, but I got hit pretty hard this time. Plus the fact that we have been caught in the crosshairs of some pretty nasty storms systems and last night we had hign winds - again. For some reason they will sometimes blow my back door open. I went to run to close it so my cat didn't try to sneak out and fell on the kitchen floor so now I have a very sore wrist, arm and neck where I tried to save myself. It's alright though I beat the cat to the door.

Vi, I hope that you are feeling better. When I get a sore throat I use listerine, if it's really raw I water it down a little because it burns but if I catch it early that does the trick for me. Then I follow up with warm water/salt washes. That helps me. Oh and warm teas any kind but herbal teas are great. Mercedes

Just nasty allergy/sinus problems here. Seems the goofy weather down here has gotten all the plants and animals confused.
For all of you who aren't feeling well I hope you feel better soon. Hopefully ya'll will get a break in the nasty weather too.
