Hi Everyone,

I am :new: here. I am thankful that I found this site. It's nice to find a place for support. My nephew was just sent to Charleston, South Carolina:cry: . Does anyone know what the name of the brig is? I got to talk to my nephew once since he's been there. He called collect. After he called I sent him money to put in his phone account. And he's been trying to call again, but no such luck. He tried collect again and it still wont go through. He relayed a message to his Mom that the prison said I need to check with my phone Co. So I did, my phone co. told me to call CBS and set up an account with them. I called and they don't service SC. So then I called Get Connected Phone Services and they told me I have to call the brigs and find out what phone service they us. The lady from GCPS said she had previously tried calling the Brig and they won't give out any info. I would have called myself, but I don't have the phone number. Can someone please help:help: me with this? I really:D want to talk to my Nephew! Your help is greatly:D appreciated. And Thank You for taking the time to read this!

My Hero,
Welcome to PTO. I'm sorry to hear about your nephew. My son is a prisoner at Ft. Leavenworth..USDB. I don't know much about the other military facilities, so I did a search and they are only listing this one facility in Charlston SC.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_U.S._military_prisons
The Naval Consolidated Brig, in Charleston (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charleston%2C_South_Carolina), South Carolina (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/South_Carolina), is a 288 inmate medium security facility.[1] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Naval_Consolidated_Brig%2C_Charleston#_note-TheState061204)
The Brig was built in 1989. It houses prisoners from all branches of the US Armed Services (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/US_Armed_Services). It has also recently housed several captives in the US "war on terror (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/War_on_terror)", including Yasser Hamdi (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yasser_Hamdi), Jose Padilla (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jos%C3%A9_Padilla_%28alleged_terrorist%29) and Ali Saleh al-Marri (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ali_Saleh_al-Marri).
Al-Marri remains at the Brig as of December 2006.
