I am going into extreme panic mode - I am scheduled to visit on Feb 23/24 and March 1/2 BUT when I pulled up his page today, he is no longer listed as being in Meadows - he is now showing as being in SMU 1.
Would anyone have any idea why they would move someone like this? I spoke to him on Saturday night, and he seemed fine.
EEEEEKKKKKK!!

hey there
I would call the visitation staff to confirm it but smu is a seg unit so it is as tho they either moved him for his sake or there was a spot of trouble.. did he have any tickets that are new ?? that is horrid as you go on special visits and they take time to be permitted.. if it was done by them to protect him then they might allow the visits still.. good luck ... I hope this gets sorted out as I know how important visits are for sure.. especially when they are planned so far in advance.. I remember flying out to the hostage situation so the visits were obviously cancelled as he was in the unit of the situation so I can understand your angst.. good luck

As far as I know, he had no tickets at all. I spoke to him on Saturday and he was in a good mood. Apparently, the visitation staff get Wednesdays off...just my luck.
His only complaint was that there seemed to be LOTS of shakedowns. He had 2, back to back, a week ago and then a bunch more. He thought that they were training new staff as they find nothing in his things.
He put in his request for my visit almost as soon as he got off the phone with me in mid January and was told he was too early. The CO gave the forms back to him and told him that he had to put the application in no more than 3 weeks in advance. It seems like SUCH a coincidence that this would happen now. (hmm...a little paranoia?) He was supposed to be taking a course as well. I am going to wait until 2 (AZ time) and see if I can talk to his CO lll. I was told he is the only one who can tell me if my hon got moved. I would hope the CO could tell me why as well, but I will take what I can get until I get a call from my lobster.

Take a deep breath... let it out... (one more for good measure!)
Give the facility a call when the CO is there and you can speak with him/her.
If he is in SMU-1 the visitation is a little different. I've had really good interactions with them and they've always been very accommodating and helpful especially when they know I'm coming from out of state (or for you, out of the country!).
Let us know what happens!

Hey there, something is wrong with the DOC website right now. My husband shows SMU1 also, and he's not there and a couple of his friends in Rynning show SMU1 right now, too. The website has glitches from time to time, and this must be one of them.

That happened to me. For a couple of days, I looked at the site and it said they moved my guy to another facility. I was worried all for nothing...

It's ok...I looked up all of the guys I know and they all say SMU1 and that was last Wednesday...but if you notice on your guys it's not a "recent" date that shows he's moved. Like someone said it's probably a glitch in their system. I know visitation has been getting lots of calls about where their loved one's are because DOC site says they are elsewhere.
I know they are moving lots of people have been moving in from Winslow and if they haven't already a lot of people who are classified as 3's will be moving to Winslow so to make sure I would call before you leave to make sure he is still there. YOu can never be too sure with Rynning or for that matter DOC in general.

**UPDATE**
After calling a whole HERD of people at Eyman, I fianlly was able to reach the CO lll and was cheerfully told that "someone must have pushed a wrong button." My Hon hasn't been moved, had no tickets and was not in protective custody. While I was, and still am, HUGELY relieved, I would think that the particular "someone' would be a bit more careful.
Many thanks to all of your calm support....I really appreciated it!

I checked out the website today and it looks like they've fixed the problem. It actually now shows the unit everyone is at. That's kindof nice, especially when your guy gets moved because now you can see exactly what unit they've been moved to, instead of just the complex.
