This is actually not an visting question thread but to answer to your question, you will have to have her biological fathers notorized consent saying that he is approving her (his and your daughter) to visit the inmate __________.

Actually, as long as she's your daughter you don't need anything other than to bring her birth certificate. You only need notarized permission from a parent if the person bringing the child to visit is not the legal or biological parent. So as long as she's your daughter (and your name is on the birth certificate) you're fine to bring her to visit.

As for phone calls, my brother is in one of the groups that's STILL locked down, so no phone calls for me since November! I know things have been on the crazy side at North lately, so I'm guessing there have been a lot of short lockdowns for pretty much everyone. Try not to worry too much, and I hope you guys get a call or letter soon.

Re North CTF: IMPORTANT - any info

I received 2 calls from the streets today (legitimate acquaintances) saying there is a rumor that my husband passed - I called Soledad and there's nothing in the computers to show anything is wrong with him. I also spoke with the medical that does death certificates and they have no record either. So I am pretty sure its not true but I have not heard from him for over a week. PLEASE can anyone that gets a call from someone on North verify that no black passed on North in the past few days.

REALLY appreciate it.

No, but I've received mail. I'll be expecting a phone call over the next day or so and will let everyone know if I get one.

Thank you to the people who replied. I confirmed this morning with the prison that he is OK. I actually started to receive a couple of sympathy cards yesterday - so unfortunately some close friends of his think something happened to him. I received some info that it may have been someone with a similar nickname, a youngster like "lil___g" or "baby ___". that has his same name.

Thanks again.

Oh thank goodness. What an awful experience you just had, and you must be beyond relieved. Thank you also for posting an update--I'm sure I'm not the only one who was so eager to hear this great news!

That's great! hopefully things will be back to normal for at least blacks and others and they shouldn't lock down hispanics that weren't involved in anything!

I got a call today at 2:12 and they had something happen, then they shut all the phones off. I hope he calls me tomorrow and tells me what happened. But he did call today and yesterday.

In my experience when that happens it's often because someone (an employee) accidentally sets off an alarm. They wear these panic button type alarms on their bodies, and apparantly they're really easy to accidentally set off. I have no idea if that's what happened during your call today, but just wanted to throw this out there since it's not always something bad. I have had MANY calls end over the years for this reason! Hopefully that was the case today!!

Hello Ladies
I usually get my call about 2:00pm (PST). Today I will ask him what's going on with phones, lockups etc. and see if I can't post a more definitive summary here on the forum for all of us. Yesterday like I said, the phones got shut off...I heard all this squabbling going on and then nothing. I'll try to keep you all posted here.
Happy Valentine's Day.
