Wow! I'm feeling so overwhelmed reading all the posts in the forum. Something inside of me wants to sort and clean and organize it all. (It's my obsessive-compulsive-nature at work, I reckon.) So please don't hate me for wanting to straighten stuff up in here, okay? I don't want to miss a single post from one of you dear ladies! I'm always afraid I am! So please know that even if you don't see my happy little avatar poking out from behind my name, you are all in my thoughts and prayers - as are my adopted nephews and nieces!

Heard from son in Sibera last night and he was so cute! I know he's homesick, but he won't say it. But he's writing and calling and can't get answers fast enough. It just proves to me how very important it is for him to get a steady flow of letters and notes from dear, old, sweet Mom. (DOSM, that's me) I had been writing him every day, then slowed down. Now I'm going to go back to the daily notes even if I repeat myself a thousand times because it's obvious to me that they need to keep that line of 'home' open. It's their lifeline.

Now, I'm going to sort out the posts and put them in all these lovely wicker baskets I found on sale......and into these bright and cheerful cubicles where I can keep them all tidy and current.

Love,
Mary the Manic-organizer:rolleyes:

DOSM, AKA, Manic Organizer, LOL, that's so funny, I have that, and thank the good Lord for those who created Zoloft! I wish hubby would take it, ROTF, every night, keys, check, wallet, check....on and on...an hour later, LOL. I'm so glad you got to hear from your son, and yes, those letters mean soooo much. Speaking from (unfortunate) experience. I'm gonna leave all the organizing to to you, and hope this will become the new "check-in/update" thread. It's getting hard out there trying to keep up, think I lost 10lbs. today, all that running around! :)

Hi Mary, I'm also glad you got to speakto your son today. Do you ever ask him what the weather is like there? Just wondering. I heard that China got a lot of snow and as many as 60 have passed away from the cold. I never knew that it snowed in China.......... That was so sad. On a lighter subject : Reggie , I tried Zoloft among a few others, I'm glad that it works for you it didn't work for me. None of them seemed to help me. I do think I'm going to try that tylonol pm though. I've got to start getting some sleep this the forth day of my sleep cycle thing that I go through and I still can't seem to get to sleep. A Knock on the Head is starting to sound Very Tempting...............Bye for now. Mercedes

Awe Mercedes. I would never sleep if not for Lunesta. (though Ambian is better) Yes, a real pharmacy these days, LOL. have you tried something else? Prozac made me crazy, in fact I commited my crime on it. not that I wouldn't do it again, I'm sorry, but couldn't just stand there. Anyway, point being, sometimes you have try something else. I hope you get some much deserved rest Mercedes. (((hugs))) and prayers.

Mercedes, I always ask him about what he's seeing up there in Siberia. He said it was -50degrees F the other day so they weren't allowed outside! He said all he sees are trees.....and trees....and more trees! and snow!!! snow!!! snow!!! We have pretty mild winters down here in the southwest corner of the lower peninsula of Michigan (altho this has been a harsher winter than we've had in years). But he has never really seen blizzards until now! He said sometimes it's snowing so hard, you can't see a foot from the window! And the drifts are higher than the buildings. Well, he's safe and warm so I'm confident he's staying healthy. Once the thaw comes, he'll be working on beaver dams - literally! Now that should prepare him for the real world, right???? I think that's so funny! God is good! I am so grateful for all our blessings!

Have a great weekend, everyone!
And my theory about pills is: Better living through chemistry!
And I've lost 17 lbs so far on WW. Whooo-whoooo! Hubby is losing, too! I'll try the bike again next week if my back quiets down.
Prozac is my friend!

Love,
Mary

Hi Mary, I'm so glad you got to talk to your son. :) That is always so special to me when I talk with Charlie every five days. We always run out of time cuz there is always so much to say.
Isn't wonderful when they are Mom's boys? :) I love it that Charlie is MOm's boy. There is no one that can take care of them like Mom no matter how old they are and that says alot about us MOMS :) :) :) :) :)

Reg, Mercedes I am on zoloft, busprone, clonazapam, ultram and still don't sleep well. I will go for days and days and get not more than an hour or so at a time and then I will finally be so exhausted that I sleep some. Right now I am getting some sleep. Last week rarely got any.
I sure hope you both get some. I know it just takes it's tole on us since we are already on an emotional roller coaster. So lack of sleep sure doesn't help matters.
Sweet Dreams Ladies' I am keeping you and yours all in my prayers. :)

Mary has her act together. ...right on , Ms Mary! Like your style!

Im a "fixier",too ,So I can dig your desire to take each person and make things ok. I get that feeling when I read these posts ,too. Each person is real to me......each child, my own.

Dont always know what to say to each thread but always feel their pain alot. Bet many, many people read here and maybe dont post but want to help and care so much.

I was sleeping pretty well, then I began worrying about why my son hasn't called, then the snow in NE WA state has me losing sleep as I have a home there still with snow piling up on it. It is a nine and a half hour drive in good weather. I'm selling it in the summer (it will take that long to get out the crap tools etc out of home and shop). I have insurance but all my possessions are still there. Add another foot of snow this weekend. I need to go for a drive on the beach.......

oh MARRRYYYY----
I did try to organize us, but to no avail. the traveling party brings the chips and dips and girdles to sites no matter the topic.

we can try so hard to be supportive and comforting but they turn it into comedy club in the end. LOL hey! maybe these gals have something going here...you start out crying then the 3 stooges start throwing pies and lizards at one another and before you know it the whole lunch room is having a food fight!

Jancy here with a runny nose and chip dip on my hips.

Just one more thing though?
(snags a bit of chip dip and prances off)

Ok I'll be good and stay on topic from now on. I promise.

Quick note: Our son is in "Siberia" Michigan! not Siberia, Russia! LOL I call it "Siberia" because it's so far north and seems like it might as well be Siberia.... but before that rumor goes wild and you expect me on a pitiful pack mule to go visit him in the spring, nahhhh......just a 500+ mile trip one way in the car! (Camp Kitwen CF)

::::snagging the edge of Bless'm's sash on her Sunday frock::::: Hold it, Missy! You have some explainin' to do. <wink>

Here I go again ---- wanting to Spring clean everywhere and anywhere. My poor cousin has lost many things in her kitchen because I've reorganized her pantry and cleaned out a few cupboards. Wouldn't you hate to have me visit you???? I was in the pantry sitting on a chair sorting out the lower shelves and tossing out empty bottles of cleaning supplies, etc. (She has two daughters at home, one of which is married, but they work outside the home and have lives outside.) When I go home next week (this week actually), I know she's going to be searching for stuff. I feel badly about that because time is so precious to her what with caring for her quadraplegic hubby who is totally dependent, on a vent, cannot communicate appropriately, and has a terrible diarrhea now called C-diff. She is amazing. He is amazing, too. I'll miss them. She now has an aide coming in for an hour or so every day to help w/ his bedbaths, so that's good. It feels soooooooo good to be useful and to use some of my nursing skills again. My little dog will miss her two dogs, too. We have a joke about Daisy and Holly "playing gay" as they romp about and tumble and play together. (no offense intended to anyone) It's just so cute!

Where was I going with this? Oh yes...... I have been trying to catch up with all the posts, but I'm so far behind. Our son called last night and he's doing well. They have a new warden so the rules are stricter than before. I can't wait to see our son again now that the weather is breaking. Maybe we'll be able to safely drive the 500+ miles next month without going through a blizzard. I remind our son to thank God for each new day because each day makes it closer to the day he'll come home again and re-start his life. I pray for all our sons and daughters. Have a great day.

That smell you smell is Murphy's oil soap...... and my spring cleaning!

Mary I so look forward to your updates and posts! You make my day, every time. I was just thinking to myself, there is no way I'm going to be able to catch up with all these new posts. The boards are huge now, and I'm getting dizzy out there! Oh, your cousin I'm sure is going to miss your dear company and all your help, what a Blessing you have been to her. I will keep her and hubby in my prayers. LOL the dogs, what a visual! heehee
I'm so glad you got to talk to your son, prayers going up for a visit! Take care Mary and God Bless. P.S. I think our OCD kicked in at the same time, I've been cleaning like crazy here too! :)
