I want to share with everyone my elation that we have now surpassed 10,000 registered members, and much faster than anyone could have predicted! This community has grown to be more than I had ever dreamed, with members that we all consider friends from all over the world.

The idea that came about inside a prison cell has grown to be a giant that I am so very proud of. For many, prison is hell and wasted time. While I did not especially like being there, it is something I would not change now. PTO and the things that our community has accomplished have definitely made it all worth it for me.

I want to raise this glass of champagne and toast ALL of YOU! (Yup! I broke one out!) You ALL are what make PTO great.. I may have been the architect and someone that also ‘lives’ here, but I am but a small part of all this! PTO would be nothing without its members..

Here is to all of you dealing with, or supporting prisoners and their families.. Cheers.. Together we will make changes like no other before..

I also just wanted to share a little special poem I found (and edited) and although we all share something in common with having a family member, loved one etc. on the inside...I know so many of us have found friendships and understanding ~ here at PTO ~ and these friendships are what makes PTO so special!

I found this site searching for Federal and State Judical reasearch to suppot a stance I was making with my states legislation. I actually feel a bit out of place and perhaps guilty posting here....oh well so what, nothing wrong with trying to help people with the often complex criminal justice system. Also, I love just reading other peoples perspective of the prison system and all that is affiliated with it.

How I wish something like PTO had been around when I started my journey trying to deal w/ this prison mess 13+ years ago, but how glad I am that it has been in my life the time it has, what a lifesaver!
