Infamous Mrs.M

Hiyah All,
Found a great post from Tiggersladie however it is dated from 2005 and I am sure the rules and such have changed since then? Was wondering if anyone had info on Penetang?
I am interested in info on calls (how much the collect calls cost to Toronto?), visits, canteen etc.
This is the info from the other woman's post...if you can update it for me I would sure appreciate it! Thanks :D
Visits:
You have to get the inmate to put you on his visiting list. Then you have to call Mon-Fri 9-4 to book an appointment. (705) 549-9470 Ext 3124. Be polite they talk to you respectfully until you don't. Mon-Fri they have visits in the evening 6-8pm. Sat-Sun all day. at certain times though. You can book a double visit but the inmate has to request it in writing and it uses both of your visits for that week. Remand inmates get 20 min and sentenced inmates get 40 but the phone will shut off and come back on at 20 min. You have to go through a metal detector and you can't bring your purse upstairs, they have lockers. You are considered an adult at 16 and you have to bring picture ID gov't issued. They still like you to bring ID for your children under 16 too just so they know who's in the building in case of emergency. They have vending machines in the lobby. Everything is under video surveillance. They also have a wheelchair for people and you will need help going up the ramp if you have to use one.
Telephones:
They allow twenty minutes for each phone call. Then it shuts off.
Canteen:
You can drop money off at the front desk. The cut off time is Thursday at 9 pm. They can use up to $60 per week. They order Sunday and get it on Friday. Everything is overpriced.
Clothing Changes:
You can exchange clothing 1 for 1. They Xray the bag, and search it for contraband, in the seams and everything. The inmate has to fill out a request. You are escorted there by a guard.
Release:
You can pick inmates up at the front of the building. Just go inside and let them know when you get there and the name of the inmate. They have to process them and give them their personals so sometimes it talkes some time. Be patient and talk respectfully to the guards, they have always been nice to me. They told me they don't want to make it harder on the families.
If the inmate doesn't have a ride they send them to Barrie to be released. They buy them a bus ticket.
Directions:
Take Hwy 400 North Extension to Hwy 93.
Follow Hwy 93 into Penetang keep going straight through Midland.
When you reach Penetang they have Angels at a stoplight.
This road is Thompson's Road and you can only go one way, to the right.
Follow Thompson's Road until you hit Robert Street and turn right again.
Be careful going around the bend in the road it is pretty sharp.
Follow Robert to the end and you will reach Fuller Ave.
Turn Left onto Fuller Ave and keep driving straight,
you will see the jail on the right hand side of the road.
If you enter the Ontario Hospital you've gone too far, that is right at the end of the road.
Don't panic they don't let dangerous patients roam around up there.
