I found out this past week that my husband was sent to the brig... he is currently stationed in Okinawa Japan and is in the Hansen Brig there on the island.... as far as I know... he has a total of three NJP's and is currently been demoted to a private.... as far as we know this was his last draw and there is a 90% chance he will be discharged... I am positive this will be dishonerable... I am wondering however someone told me there is a veterans place or something he can get help finding a job and they may be able to help him upgrade his charge to just a dicharge.... I live in Texas....

I am trying to find information for him so if and when he comes home I will be able to lead him in the right direction and he won't get into a slump...

Please Please Help.....

Hello and welcome to PTO/Military Justice forum. I'm sorry I don't have an immediate answer to your question. I know there are organizations that help ex-inmates re-entry with employment, housing and other assistance but do not know of one particularly for ex-military members. You might try the VA, USO or some other service organization that serves military interests. If they don't offer a program, they may be able to give you a referral. Someone else here may know of a program and give you a better answer. I hope so, but this is a start. Good luck to you and your husband. We're here to help, so whatever questions you have, ask them.
