If someone is already in Surrey pretrial, would there be any reason to tranfer them to North Fraser Pretrial?
At any point, ie, after a bail request (if it were denied) or once a trial date was set?

If you are in Surrey Pre-Trial, but your court is in Vancouver, anytime there is paperwork involved, you could easily be added to a transfer list.
Other than that, when bed space gets tight, they start looking to see who they can move around. I might add, even in the case of a public audit, they may move inmates even when it isn't overcrowded.
Also, if you are transferred to North Fraser Pre-Trial, and you have more than 14 days until your next court appearance, you most likely will get transferred to Fraser until next court date.

My guy was transferred to Surrey from North Fraser for 16 days and transferred back. Doesn't seem to be any reason for it. Just one of those things I guess. At least it was a change of scenery for him.
