What does it take to get approved for SAP at Draper? My son has been trying to get in since he's been there but his classification officer would never put him on the list. The warden told him she would approve him if he was put on. Finally the last class that was started, he was on it but then what does the warden do? You got it...She wouldn't approve him
Should I call her and ask why she wouldn't approve him or stay out of it and let him handle it?

The inmates really do not have any say in what is done. What has he said about you calling? I spoke to my son's classification officer several times and she was always very helpful. How long is his sentence? Sometimes they put the ones with an earlier release in first. The waiting list is very long for these programs. My son was in SAP at Ventress. He paroled out before he completed the course. I think they knew he would make parole so they got him in very quickly.

I would also add if he is classified as violent he will be considered at the end of the line, which has happened to my son. Also if he has took the class before and has to take it again due to dirty urine test they will make him wait too...
People like this really piss me off!
