i Met My Husband 12 Yrs Ago And I Should Of Known Then He Was A Abuser We Were Toghter 2 Days And He Slapped Me , Well For Awhile After That Everything Was Ok But Really It Wasnt Hes Been In Prison Numerous Times Parole Violations And Other New Charges Never Did More Than A Yr At A Time, Everytime He Got Locked-up He Said It Get Better With Us But It Never Did, He Has Beaten Me So Bad So Many Times, With Black Eyyes And Brusies And Etc... 7 Yrs Ago He Got Busted For Ex-felon With A Gun...and He Gets Out In Dec Of This Yr But Even While Hes Been Locked-up He Still Has Physcially Abuse Me With Words. He Hhas Beaten Me Down So Bad I Just Cant Handle It So A Month Ago I Quit Taking His Calls When He Calls And Etc. Im Hoping When He Gets Out In Dec He Will Stay The Way From Me.. If I Have To I Will Take Legal Action If I Have To.. Cause I Dont Know What Else To Do..but I Am A Survivor Of Domestic Abuse ... Well Thats My Story It Was Making A Long Story Short....

Sparkys -- get to a domestic abuse agency NOW! You need a lot of counseling in a safe place, and they have it. They can also help you get a restraining order before he gets out. You've made a good start by not talking with him any more. Now take the next step, and start to prepare yourself for the time when he is out - read a lot, organize a safety plan, and make yourself strong enough to continue to resist him.
