Has anyone sent their loved ones money thru Western Union? If so, i so need your help. I've tried using my credit card, debit card and it keeps giving me an error message "T4838, sorry that transaction is currently unavailable" I called Western Union and no one can find the error message. :angry:

i tried doin it like tue but and had all info, corr fac name, cdc #, and all other info but it said i waz missin CCA(-----------)? I DONT HAVE IT AND AT TCCF THEY SAID THEY DONT KNOW NUTHIN ON HOW 2 DO IT. IF U GET DAT INFO, LET ME KNOW.

I spoke to a very nice lady at TCCF and this is what she told me.
Pay to=Correction corp of America
Code city=Trust CCA (is this what you might be missing)?
State= TN
and to make sure you list your loved one's commissary number followed by this last name.
Let me know if this works for you and then tell me exactly how you did it.

I can never send money through Western Union online. I get the same error messages. I just go to the local agency and do it that way. I've never had a problem doing it in person, but the website never works for me.

The max amount that can be sent at a time is $500 but they may have an infinite amount in their books. Hope this helps.

Have you ladies noticed that money sometimes takes longer to post? I sent my loved one money on the 5th to the GA address and it's still not posted yet. I wish there was a way to go to a bank and for a nominal fee deposit money directly into their accounts? Wouldn't that simplify things for everyone?

Do you send money orders or personal checks? If you send money orders, it usually takes a few days for it to get into their account.

MrZ!: I send Money orders, i don't think you can send personal checks. The last 3 times the money got there fast, maybe within 4 days. This last time it's taken longer

It varies. When I send money, sometimes the money gets into my husband's account in four to five days. Other times it takes alittle longer.

Last time I sent money a few weeks ago it took a couple weeks to post. It was a money order.

Next time, I will do Western Union. I'm willing to pay the fee to know the money made it ok.

I agree the average is about 4 to 5 business days. I tried western union and the password did not take.

I tried to send $ to my husband via western union and they told me they could not locate him with the # I gave them what is a commissary number I thought it was his x-ref # can someone please clue me in on how I find out what the commissary number is.

Can someone send me a PM about how to mail a money order via snailmail to my boyfriend in TCCF? Who to write it out to as Recipient and also who to write as Sender and Sender Address. How to fit all the information on the money order?

What address does it get sent to? Can it be sent to his regular address and have them pull it from the letter like they do in California? That is what I assumed was how it worked at first.

I sent a $70 money order to TCCF behalf of his name and CDC# and my name and address as Sender. I put it with a regular letter to the address of TCCF when writing the inmates. Can someone tell me what I did wrong, and what I can expect? Is there any way to check to see how much money is currently on his books? Is he the only one who can check? How can I tell when the money I sent gets put on (if it does) or if it will be returned to sender (me)?

Call TCCF's Bookkeeping Department and they'll be able to assist and let you know if the money order was received and put into your boyfriend's account. If after a week or two and the money is not in his account, you may want to put a stop to the money order and resend another one to the correct address.

Nevermind...I ended up just sending it Western Union. You want to talk about a pain in the ass!!?? I talked to people at TCCF...and Western Union, and finally got it all straightened out.
