Some of you post the most beautiful poems, so I thought I would write my own to all of my girls here.
We've never met, but for on PTO
My gals here, I feel that I know
We've cried and we've vented for each other's pain
If it weren't for you all, I wouldn't be sane
D'Gal and Bless and Miss Lillybee
Have always been there, with a sweet prayer for me
I've laughed with Mary and Reggie and O
Having a drink, so's not to feel woe
We have one thing in common, here at this site
We're all here together and in the same plight
We all have a child in prison or jail
We're here for each other rain, snow or hail
It's sad but it's true, we're not understood
By those that don't share OUR motherhood
Yours sons are mine, and my son is yours
When everyone else, just shut their doors
There are new mothers here, that I've yet to greet
Welcome to all, we're on the same street
I've read all your posts regarding your sons
When you need an ear, we are the ones
No one can know the grief that we feel
We all share it here, and know that it's real
It's sad that we met, the way that we did
We're in it together, the length of the bid
We fight and we stuggle with each passing day
We wonder how it could turn out this way
Our sons are in Prison, some longer than others
We are there too, 'cause we are their mothers
I know names but not faces of each of you here
Knowing always I have a listening ear
We're new friends and comrades because of our sons
We share all our troubles that just seems like tons
I wanted to share with all of you here
You all mean so much, to me you are dear
I'm lucky to have you, here in my heart
Finding you all, for me's a good start
Lots of Love to All of You and God Bless
