Janice,
Nice to meet you! I hope you find support through this site. My boyfriend is in the federal system for a 15 year sentence. Its hard but I have found alot of support in these groups and helpful advise. Answers to my ever lasting questions! I don't know what I'd do with out these people!

Janice:
I do know and understand your heartache and hurt. My son has been in North Carolina State Prison for 12 years because his wife set him up with her boyfriend. He was convicted of Manslaughter.
I know your pain and grief even though your son is in a Federal Prison. Sometimes I think things will never be better, but I fight those depressing thoughts and realize that there will always be a better day.
What don't kill us will always make us stronger. This situation with my son has opened my eyes about the real Justice System. None of us are perfect but we have way too many people in prisons. Not just because they have done something wrong either, it's because our Justice Sysrtem Stinks and cannot seem to get straightened out. It will take people to continue to complain in order to eventually get something done. So, whatever you do, do not give up. Keep your faith. Believe that things will be better and that we will come out on top.
My best wishes to you
Donna

I understand...My boyfriend was sentenced to federal prison for 5years 5 months plus 3 years probation for a probation violation. He's going into his 3rd year of incarceration. I can understand what you're feeling. His family, especially his mother, stays upset and worried. You are not alone.
Denise
My husband is doing 17 in the feds for a drug conspiracy. It is hard and I have learned to take one day at a time, never knowing what tomorrow will hold. Another ggod place to find support for drug related crimes is www.november.org check it out, they go good work.

Janice-Glad to see you here and thanks for sharing your story-I know you will find a lot of support and some really good people here. There is a forum for parents with children in prison here too. Take care
