Good afternoon PTO family, I hope I am not out of line posting this tread, but I just had to pass this along. I recently joined and online group called "The Freecycle Network", they offer items that people want to give away, and you can post things you may need, last week I posted that I needed a crib for my new grandchild, well this morning I picked up a pinewood crib (in very good condition) for FREE, I know due to our circumstances with our sons/daughters away, money is always an issue for us. the site claims it keeps our landfills free of things that otherwise might be thrown away, the website is freecycle.org, just click your state and find the group nearest you..

Freecycle is excellent--I use it all the time in Colorado! I have not noticed anyone donating a new life . . . :) darn

I started a Freecycle group for my area in Sep 2006 (Douglas-SSV in AZ) and it is a godsend to many people. I have gotten and given some great stuff...Only requirement is to OFFER something first then you can ask for something you WANT...Great site and I highly recommend it to anyone who is moving to unload some things and those who have moved to gather some needed items..and those with kids for used clothing it is a great place.

Thank you, my daughter was just asking me where we could give a bunch of girl newborn cloths to. We don't know many people here in Va. and only donate our used stuff to the good samariton house we came across by chance, they serve the older homeless in our area. I'll be looking them up.
