I am an attorney in Texas. For the last seven years I have represented TDCJ inmates seeking parole throughout the state. In my work, I regularly talk to all of the Parole Board members in Texas and I go to all of the TDCJ prisons and visit prisoners throughout the year. I offer this list as support and as a free information source for people who care about TDCJ inmates. I intend this to be an informative support group, not an advertising vehicle. Family members, boyfriends, girlfriends, ex-cons, ect are all welcome.

Elena 04-10-2003, 02:40 PM My husband is in the Lopez Unit and it in review at this time. He saw an IPO in February but they were not able to review him because some paperwork was missing in his file. How can you help me? How long is the process?
He has a yahoo group too.
~cheenna~ 04-10-2003, 06:38 PM Elena ... I may be speaking out of turn, but the above post was not posted by the attorney but rather by Shortie for the benefit of any who may need it ... that said, this attorney has a group at yahoo like Lulu mentioned and you may post questions there which he will answer, also if you request it, he will send you a big packet of info on what all you need for a successful parole packet free of charge.
Good Luck to you and yours ...
lin88jon 04-10-2003, 08:08 PM The name of his Yahoo group is "TDCJ - Parole"

texascricket 04-12-2003, 09:23 AM Cheenna~
Hey girl. I looked at this website:
******************/TDCJ-parole and I couldn't find anywhere to request the info packet. Do I need to call him? Thanks!
lin88jon 04-12-2003, 11:39 PM I JOINED THAT GROUP DAYS AGO AND ASKED A QUESTION AND THE DUDE HAS NEVER ANSWERED ME. I NOTICED LAST NIGHT THAT HE HAS NO MESSAGES FOR THE MONTH OF APRIL. I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT WENT WITH MY POST.
Please give him time. He is one busy beaver. They also have mods there that have to send your post through. It is by approval posts. Another words you wont see you post untill someone send s it through. When ko1's projected release date was changed, i emailed them and ask them some questions, well believe it or not, i just got an email asking if i wanted that post posted on the group, lol i thought, huh, not now i dont. i forgot abotu the post, your best bet is to call him, he has a 1-800 number on that group. Good luck
Elena 04-14-2003, 07:58 AM I also sent an email and never got a response. However i did found another attorney based in San Antonio. His name is Paul Hampel. You can call his office and request a parole packet and they will mail it to you. I spoke to a lady named beatrice there. The number is 1-888-707-2765. He charges 1500.00 dollars to represent anyone being reviewed by the parole board. It is not a gaurantee but he will discuss the issues with the board for release. I was looking into hiring him but they told me to wait since my husband is already in review.
oh, that is I was talking about.
blueroseks 04-16-2003, 04:35 PM Long time no talk to all.. Got a question. My man comes up for parole November 8, 2003. He is wanting to parole out to the Cenikor in Ft Worth. I think it is a good idea but his mom is NOT happy about the idea. What do you all think of the idea? How do you think the Parole Board will view it??:argh :argh
texascricket 04-17-2003, 06:06 PM I just got my parole information packet I requested in the mail from Hampel. It a GREAT source of information for what I need to do to get parole, and what my family can do to help. If anyone would like any of the information from it let me know, I can scan it and email it to you. Its about 11 pages. Good stuff!
blueroseks 04-18-2003, 10:48 AM Thanks I got one of his packets. I got to get started on it. My husband comes up for review in November. I talked to Cenikor about my husband paroleing to their treatment center. It is a 3 year program. At least, he would not be locked up and we could have visits. (If you know what I mean)....lol:p
Amelia 04-19-2003, 05:05 PM I just hired this guy! he seems to really know what is up...and he doesnt seem to be afraid of hard work!! I will keep you all posted on what goes on!
JOHN'S WIFE 04-20-2003, 01:46 PM i have another attorney she is here in houston, we choose her over paul hamphel. my husband made the choice. if anyone would like to call her her name is lori redmond # is 713-780-0344 also with lori you get to go with her to the parole hearing meet with the board, her staff is great and she does not take your money if she thinks she cannot win this is why she has a very high sucess rate. you should at least call more then two attorneys before you make your choice. remember this is 1500.00 out of your pocket, at let them tell you what they can do for you not what you can do for them. i made my husband packet my self and lori presented to the board with me there. she was straight with her answer and no bull shit went with it.
blueroseks 04-21-2003, 10:13 AM Just got back from seeing Phil. I guess he is going to have his sister write a letter to the parole board. She said he is going to try to parole to her at his address. I don't understand why he don't want to parole to my house (since we are getting married). Help,... Advice...
Trulykath 04-22-2003, 04:54 PM AMELIA....PLEASE PM me regarding Paul Hampel....
Elena 04-23-2003, 08:30 AM I wrote to my husband in regards to the lawyer in SanAntonio. He said we did not need him. So I guess we are just waiting for answer from the board.
Amelia 04-24-2003, 03:00 PM I have been in contact with paul hampel for afew weeks now and so far I have found him to be very honest and direct and not with his head in the clouds promising Stephen coming home tomorrow or anything...he is welcome to questions and has done pro bono work for TIFA last year I believe....he seems to be someone who is there to help out if needed.kathy I will pM you the info I got back on that issue!
Hello:
I know an Attorney who name is Lori Redmon that is working out of Houston, Texas. (713) 780-0344
7100 Regency Square Blvd Houston, Tx. 77036
She is a parole attorney and is excellent. She got a woman paroled who was doing 25 years aggaravated robbery.
She charged me a certain fee and allowed me to pay a down payment .
She then wrote the person and had her to sign a document to obtained copies of her records.
After that she reviewed that inmate file and she then informed me she could help this inmate and allowed me to pay installments.
This inmate made parole within 3
months later. I first paid her in January 2001 and the person was paroled in April of 2001 day after Easter.
The Warden, inmates and guards at the Mountainview Unit couldn't believe the inmate was paroled.
So, I know this Attorney is good. I would use her again if I had too.
 ;)
