HEY EVERYONE, I WANT TO GO VISIT MY MAN, HE IS IN AVENAL STATE PRISON AND I WAS WONDERING IF ANYONE KNEW ABOUT ANY ESPECIFIC BUSES OR ANY PEOPLE WHO GIVE RIDES TO PRISON, MY FRIEND USED TO GO ON A SPECIAL VAN TO GO SEE HER MAN IN PRISON, THEY USED TO CHARGE HER $60.00 TO GO AND COME BACK AND THEY EVEN PICKED HER UP FROM HER HOME, THAT WAS TO GO VISIT IN CALIPATRIA. DOES ANYBODY KNOW OF ANY KIND OF SERVISES LIKE THIS THAT GO TO AVENAL STATE PRISON?????????????????? THANKSSSS:)

I've been waiting to see if anyone would respond to you with an answer to your question. (I just hate it when no one answers :rolleyes: ) Unfortunately, I don't have an answer for you. I'm very new to Avenal and just had my first visit on Saturday. Here's some suggestions that I hope helps...

I know some prisons have what they call hospitality rides. Avenal is stuck out in the middle of no where, so I don't know if they have them. I would suggest calling the prison and asking them. Their number is 559-386-0587. Or you might want to ask your friend who she went through and call them.

Are you coming from the South or North? I'm coming from the Bay Area and would be willing to do a ride share if you are in the same area. If not, then maybe someone else will come along to help.
