I've read fromothers about the Army offering "transitional pay" does anyone know if the Coast Guard has this?? My husband was sent to Miramar in Aug. and will be out sometime in March but we are almost out of money. He signed a pretrial agreement that was supposed to give me 800.00 needless to say his EOS date came right after he went to Miramar and the miltary screwed us on the money-so no paycheck. I work very little due to my two kids and we're living on the savings which is running low. If anyone knows if I can get this transitional pay I would appreciate the help.:(

Dader,
First of all Welcome to the PTO Family!
Have you checked with Topeka? The CG Pay & Personnel Center would be the place to start.
If you have some of his old Leave and Earning Statements the 1-800 no. for Topeka should be on them.
If you do not have any of his LESs or cannot find the no. I will see what I can do to find it for you.

I have been in contact with a YN in Topeka, KS is I guess where my husband is considered to be attached to now. The YN has helped us with some other issues and travel claims. He has never mentioned anything about the transitional pay and he is aware my husband is in a "no-pay status". I will email him and ask him what he knows. Thanks for the welcome, this past year has been the worst of my life, I have many days of tears.

Dader,
Hang in there girl, I know it is rough, but we all get through this together.
I was a CG YN if I can help give me a yell.
Also, has the Command Rep been out to see him, as well as the Chaplain?

DoD Directive 1332.35, "Transition Assistance For Military Personnel"
I know for us we had to fill out a DD Form ???? at the JAG, it was then sent up thru chain of command and AG for approval by an ACS (Army Community Services) Rep. Not sure how the Navy does it.
Hang in there...We all know its hard....but the folks here are like a virtual hug whenever you need one.
