Hello everyone. I am trying to get myself prepared for turning myself in. I am trying to learn as much as I can about the facility before I get there.

Does anyone know what kind of work they have you do while you are at the satellite camp? Are there activities to keep you busy? Are there set hours of the day to work, etc.? Trying to understand the structure a little bit.

Thanks for any help!!!

kjb; I have a couple of friends who are already stationed at Carswell that I converse with quite often. The facility is mostly like all FPC prisons. There are several different jobs to have. Just to name a few; laundry room orderly(cleaning laundry room), kitchen duty, trash orderly(taking out trash),bathroom orderly, library orderly, dining room orderly, visiting room orderly, and I am sure there are so many more that I can't think of right now. There is a lady there in the Medical Center though from Alaska. Her name is Karen Prestegard or just ask for the lady from Alaska. She is a wonderful delightful lady.

I have a lot of medical conditions that make it very difficult for me to sit or stand for any amount of time and that is what I am worried about. I have fibromyalgia, arthritis, and chronic daily migraines that make my life a living hell--that is why I dread this the most.

I appreciate all of the info that you are giving me. It is definitely helping out. Merry Christmas!
