 Prayers and Praise Reports

We all think this would be a great place for prayers and praise reports. Seems there's quite a bit of praise reports happening and they deserve to be Glorified and shared with eachother. Let it be known!

We Pray together so often and this is a great place to show the Glory of God. How God answers our prayers. Let this be a place for miracles to be announced. Let this be a place where somebody needs us to pray for them. Let this be a place to know we have been blessed. Let this be a place for you, for us, for our inmates who do not have a voice here. Let this be a place for Unity and the power of Prayer.

Let's Roll!

Praise Report!

I posted a plea for special prayers from all of you on December 3rd for our son to receive word to send us more visitation applications. So many prayers came in and God heard us. Our son got our letter on December 3rd to send us more applications. He sent more out immediately. We got them by the end of the week. How's that for a direct connection from us to God.

Praise God!

Father God, Please help Hoolio write in for a parole hearing, give him the time and tools he needs to complete his request as soon as he possibly can. Please grant him a Parole Hearing and find a way for his Parole to be Granted so he can come home to his mom and family. Help Hoolio keep you in his heart night and day and forever. Amen.

I would like to submit a praise (a couple, actually) for prayers that have been going up for years & years from myself, my husband, and others.

Both our sons have spent literally years and years and years doing drugs, mainly heroin. They've been in and out of jail, treatment centers, halfway centers, etc. Our youngest son, Kevin who is 30, was recently released from prison. He's engaged to be married, has a decent job, and is doing great. Chris, who is 33, is following his lifetime dream of taking college classes. He's only taken one so far, but got an A-. We are so proud of him. He plans on taking three next term.

I would like to encourage everyone to not put time limits on God. Only He knows the end from the beginning. Hang on the hope that only He can give. His time is not as our time. He has eternity purposes for His chldren; way beyond what we can imagine. His Word and promises are true. We can rest and be assured they will come to pass.

Believing,

What a fantastic Praise Report! It's got to be the greatest feeling for those boys of yours to jump forward and upward in the journey. Congrats to both of them, and to you for helping them get there. You know, I never thought about how you described Gods Plan. That his time is not our time. Very interesting. I'm going to have to look deeply this. Surely this is tied into every every every thing.

hey BlessTheInmates... you did it !! I have not been on the computer for a couple days, sorry for missing the start. knew you could do it. thanks.

my first praise is this forum. I wonder where each of us would be without each other to lean on. I have a prayer request book, and I pray daily for each of you and your sons/daughters. I hope at one point the Praises will be more than the prayer requests.

God Bless each of you.

I have a small bit of praise here...LOL
my son went in wearing contacs and is blind as a bat without glasses, he had none. they said there was a 3 month wait to see an eye doc, and that they did not allow me to send in glasses. Low and behold, I called and nagged til I got a nurse at the prison willing to let me mail new glasses to him thru her. Walmart made him a pair for 48.00 and thanks be to God, they are on his face. hey he was always too proud to wear glasses and since they do not allow contacts, he is growing in humility :)

also, this is a great quote from Terri:
I would like to encourage everyone to not put time limits on God. Only He knows the end from the beginning. Hang on the hope that only He can give. His time is not as our time. He has eternity purposes for His chldren; way beyond what we can imagine. His Word and promises are true. We can rest and be assured they will come to pass.

My praise report goes out to Bless the Inmates for starting this thread, also to all of you, my PTO family friends, for giving me the strength to make it through each trying day. For understanding, and caring. (((hugs to you all))) I have been so down lately and trying to understand how some of the co's around my son can be so evil. I even started to lose faith in God. That's just what these evil people want, to make me as miserable as they are. But than I read some posts, and my heart was touched, I mean my SOUL was touched. God reached out to me, through all of you, and I thank you! I will try to return the favor and be here for you all as well, always feel free to pm me, I don't have all the answers but I 'm a good listener. Sorry for the long post, but gotta give you all your "props" lol, cause you deserve it so much!!!! God Bless! p.s. oh and as for those "bullies", I found that the hatred is only feading the evil, so now I will PRAY for them! :)

right on Reggie. the Word says - pray for your enemies and also in Proverbs 25:21-22.... 'If your enemy is hungry, give him food to eat;
if he is thirsty, give him water to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head, and the Lord will reward you" (it repeats it in Romans 12)

Hey wanna share a Praise report. I have been a little down because of finances and Christmas coming. had hoped to go see David & take his oldest son w/us. Christmas presents ! can't even do that right . I have also been trying to get out as many Christmas cards as possible to inmates. sent over 60 so far. Our church has helped out w/ stamps and I had run out. ok the Praise.... last night @ church I told Pastor that I was in need of stamps again. he said well how many do you need ? I said. well how many can you get me? he said how many do I need. I said 100, (which is about $40) so he handed me $100 bill and said "get stamps and with the left over get something for the grandkids for Christmas". that blessed me.

Reggie! Oh thank you! I am sooo happy to see postings in here.

You know, one of the hardest things for me to do was realize and deal with the fact that I had to go into that courtroom and needed to pray for every single person involved in the case. I finally gave in and began to pray for everybody on the case. To fill the room with Love and Fairness. To cast the evil one out of everybody's lives. Some more miracles happened.

Praise God! If I hadn't had that change of heart and mind, something far worse would have occured.

My thoughts are that maybe you can come to the same place in your situation, as hard as it is. To let Love rule the bodys of those in charge of his life right now.

Every blessing you pour out I'll turn back to Praise.
When the darkness closes in Lord, still I will say...
"Blessed be the Name of the Lord, Blessed be your Glorious name"

reggie, I still deal with ill feelings toward my ex. for how he abused David. I am constantly seeking His face for forgiveness and needing to forgive. may not want to but He says we have to. it is up to Him to repay evil for evil, good for good. I think life has become a daily battle at times.

Lord Bless

I can relate to what you're saying. I too have one person that I don't know if I've forgiven, forgotten, blocked all that out or what. It's fuzzy. I think maybe I should talk to Pastor about it because I don't know how to handle it. Right now I'm not handling it at all. It's on Pause. And I'm thinking right now, if I'm not dealing with it, it's not time to? I don't know.

Praise God I don't have to deal with it now :) There!

Hi Bless. you know I struggled for a long time with forgiveness. I hated my ex more than you could imagine, I even tried to think of ways to 'legally' kill him. now remember this is before I got saved. anyhow, I hated him w/a passion. nothing done to me. all for the kids. then one day the Lord showed me in Mark 11:25 that it is a command. He says forgive so that the Father can forgive us. that blew me away. well, I won't go into all that happened to get there, but yes I forgave and then forgot about him. no feelings whatsoever. until David went to jail. during this time I found out the extent of how bad it was. and I could feel that hate wanting to come back. so at church I had people/the pastor lay hands on me and pray for me. I still don't like the man, I do pity him. but it is actually a daily thought to keep forgiveness in front of my thoughts of him. does that make sense ?
forgiveness also 'cleanses the soul' - you feel better. lighter, freerer.

ok off my soapbox.

:)

My praise report is that I am thankful for another day. I am thankful for the season that my son is in right now for through his season he is realizing the era of his ways and looking at life in a more positive way and for that I am thankful. I thank everyone for sharing your paraise reports because it helps to let us know that God is still in the Blessing business....sometimes we forget and this thread is a reminder that we must trust God through every situation. I was told that your testimony is not for you but for someone that is going through that situation so they will know there is hope, if he (God) did it for me he can do it for you because he Loves us that much.....regardless of us.....now that's good news.

I pray that your Holydays are filled with Peace, Joy and Love.

Praise Report!

We finally received a letter from our son after almost 2 weeks. Praise God! All is ok. This letter is so special. First he drew a little picture of each one of us for Christmas. Very precious. Praise God he gifted him with Art. His will to draw has risen from the ashes again.

His words are from a son of God in prison yet free enough to speak his heart.

These are a few words...
"God is Wonderful, and he wants each and everyone of us to live our lives in the Glorious and already fabricated way God intended us to have. All he asks of us is "Believe" that it can and will happen. And only through him, can this Glorious way of life, we all seek, be lived"

Thank you Dear Father for holding your son in your hands.

I posted in the Prayer circle on last week and asked for prayers for my son and other inmates that are feeling down during this time of year and my praise report is when I went to visit him on Saturday he was in better spirits than last week. I am a living witness that God answers prayers so remeber to take ALL your burdens and concerns to GOD because he is the only one that can help you....I thank him for sending his angels in the form of each and everyone of you to help encourage, listen, cry with, lift up and pray with.

I pray that each and eveyone of you will have a Blessed Christmas and remeber that JESUS is the reason for the season.

Reggie, please know that your husband and all the servicemen and women who are serving in our military are in my family's prayers this Christmas day, and every day. We especially mentioned them in our Christmas Eve prayer before our family dinner last evening.
I hope they know how grateful we are. Thank you for being a military family and giving so much!

Well, maybe not tottering, but let's hope none of us has to use those wheeled walkers -- right? LOL

well, that is me. But God, this But God that. excuses.
I forget Phil 4:13... I CAN DO ALL THINGS THROUGH CHRIST WHO STRENGTHENS ME

B'sMom, I'm so glad your son got his mail and Christmas cards! Yay! God bless those dear USPS workers!!

Cyber aunts! Yup! If we're going to be collaborating on the book and movie, we'll need to be sure these kids of ours knows how many of us have prayed and loved them - even from afar!

You're right Wendy! Tottering is for old ladies. And this bunch is definitely never going to get old! I think you're right about the bells and whistles on our transportation vehicles.

D'girl ... our own Moses! But D'girl, will you be checking with God to see if there are any more tablets he wants etched? I think God meant to add "Thou shalt honor chocolate makers and spandex manufacturers." But I could be wrong and there might be more Moses missed or misunderstood! LOL And I like the idea of riding one of those gizmos. But I prefer to sit so I'll use my candy-apple-red-scooter that I refer to as my 'convertible.'

And what's this about a worm infiltrating someone's mood??? Bless??? There will be no worms here! I'm sorry, but I'm going to have put my foot down and I'm wearing my stilettos today because I feel sassy.

And as for Reggie and her new bike (was it Reggie? I hope I remembered correctly) we could form a caravan of exercise bikes. I'm wondering how to hook my laptop on mine so I can visit with you guys while I ride. OMG! I need to ride!!!! I sent the last of the fudge in the rocket!

And to everyone else.... I'm making a big batch of vegetable beef soup that I'll gladly share! We have been blessed with many inches of snow today and it is GORGEOUS outside. I'm looking forward to going outside tonight after dark when it's quiet and listen to the winter silence. It's one of my most favorite things to do!

Later ~~~

Thank you! Glory to God! Everything was wonderful! He feels good and looks really well. Alot of laughing together. He's getting mail faster lately and received all the books we've sent. Not one shead of tear from anybody. Phone being passed around 100 mph. It was glorious!

We left with some wonderful insight on things the guards talked with us about afterwards. We left completely assured that these are the majority. God Bless them.

Thank you D'Gal! Your prayers were heard. We had no mishaps whatsoever. The Rain and Storms just made us slow down a bit here and there. No mudslides going on. Next time we'll be dressing warmer though! Brrrr!

I think being Umbrella Sisters came into play huh?

We're glad he was given 2 blankets and I'm thinking every inmate there has that option. That concerns all of us Parents.

I was shocked, confused, bewildered as I entered Heaven's door, not by the beauty of it all, nor the lights or its decor.

But it was the folks in Heaven who made me sputter and gasp -- the thieves, the liars, the sinners, the alcoholics and the trash.

There stood the kid from seventh grade who swiped my lunch money twice. Next to him was my old neighbor who never said anything nice.

Herb, who I always thought was rotting away in hell, was sitting pretty on cloud nine, looking incredibly well.

I nudged Jesus, "What's the deal? I would love to hear your take. How'd all these sinners get up here? God must've made a mistake. "And why's everyone so quiet, so somber - give me a clue." "Hush, child," he said, "they're all in shock." No one thought they'd be seeing you."

JUDGE NOT.

 I want to give God Big Big Big Big Praise for getting all of us thru the recent chain of Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years together. He held us up so that we could hold eachother up thru the darkest days no matter what it took. We did our very best. We wept, we laughed, and we did it together. Praise God for each and every one for being here for us. Praise God for those he chose to be the senders Christmas Cards, who made sure so many inmates got cards thru the thick of it all.

 I want Praise God for allowing me in my desperate moments to trust and believe in another persons words. That our children were also holding eachother up during the holidays too. I had to trust in somebody elses words that our Children wanted us to have a great Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years. I had to believe they were in there making Christmas Cards and Writing Poems for eachother to send home to their loved ones. Praise God for the gifted writer of those inspirational messages.

I received this via e-mail and wanted to pass it on to all the GREAT WOMAN here on PTO

There comes a time in every woman's life when she has to take a close look at herself. Not at her circumstances, not at what she did, not how unfair life is, or at who made you do it. She has to just look at herself.

Have you ever admired a woman who has been through changes in her life? Or have you made up in your mind that she is just messed up. Before you make this mistake, take a closer look. A woman who has endured the most unusual life is someone of wisdom, someone who has been chosen by GOD to go through things that have made her stronger.

Think of all the great women in the Bible: Mary Magdalene, Ruth and Naomi, the woman with an issue of blood, and Esther, to name a few. Mary Magdalene was a prostitute, a very uneasy woman. But by the time Jesus was done with her, she was His closest follower. Esther was unfortunate in marrying an abusive man, but by the time God was done with her, she had married one of the wealthiest men in the land!

Women are so quick to beat the next one down instead of trying to hold her up. Before you wonder, What's up with her? ask yourself, What's up with me? That woman could be my mother, sister, aunt, in-law, stepmother, niece, grandmother, great grandmother, neighbor, friend, or co-worker, etc. That woman could be ME.

Woman are the carriers of life, not the channels of death. Let's build and ecourage each other, as did Ruth and Naomi.

I think we are doing exactly what God wanted us to do and that is encourage and build up each other and for that I say Thank you.

I am new here and don't know yet if I am doing this right but just wanted to be able to try to reassure when sometimes things can seem so bleak. My son who is 22, spent all of his school years in special ed, was sentenced in April 07 to 40 years. This has been devasting and at times almost impossible to deal with. Anyway Andrew is growing spiritually and God is using him in his circumstances. He has a boldness that God has given him and told me the neatest thing last week. He said that the most important "thing" to him is blood. Jesus gave His blood for him and even what he did as bad as it was God has forgiven him. God can use our kids, husbands, or whoever it is if we will let him. I am so proud of Andrew and his relationship with God. God can take any situation and use it for His glory. With our prayers God has no limits and will bless. He is so cool!

Praise God! It is fantastic to hear those words from your son. The words these kids say are so priceless. So glad you found this thread. As another Mother here said so perfectly, That we all feel like Cyber Aunties to all the kids of parents here. So please give your son a Big Hug from all of us!

Dear Friends,
Yesterday when I went for my visit Jon seemed to have some life back in his face again. I praise God for being his strength and upholding him. He had a cross that he made out of yarn around his neck I praise God that he is thinking of Jesus in there.. He will be out of restrictions soon and back on the block where the wolves are lieing there waiting for him. I praise God that even the wolves deserve the gift of eternal life and I pray that God will give me the wisdom to look at them through His eyes not my own. Please pray for the protection of my son when he goes out onto the block on the 31st, and that they will leave him alone. and give him his peace. I also believe Jon witnessed to someone in RFU, his name is Kevin, I am sending our pastor in tomorrow to visit Kevin I praise. God that He is working and will continue to work in His time. I also praise Him that he is alive and well in all of our lives and in the lives of our sons and daughters.
God bless,

Make Me Brave for Life

God, make me brave for life: oh, braver than this.
Let me straighten after pain, as a tree straightens after the rain,
Shining and lovely again.
God, make me brave for life; much braver than this.
As the blown grass lifts, let me rise
From sorrow with quiet eyes,
Knowing Thy way is wise.
God, make me brave, life brings
Such blinding things.
Help me to keep my sight;
Help me to see aright
That out of dark comes light.

I have been away from PTO for quite a while, wallowing and feeling miserable. Tonight I signed on and found this post (divine intervention?) and reading through I realized that as horrible as this ordeal has been, I have a lot to be thankful for.

First off my son is out of a marriage that distroyed his confidence, self esteem and nearly took his life. He gave up everything for her, his religion, his family, his friends and his self respect. It had to take something this drastic to make him see just how destructive the relationship was. He may be in prison but he is still alive and as long as he is breathing there is hope.

He is also at a facility that is only 20 minutes from home and I spend 5-6 hours with him every week. He and his brother and sister have reconnected and they also visit him at every opportunity. He is amazed that we have all stood behind him and continue to support him emotionally and financially. He tells me that the conditions are not pleasant but it's tolerable, no one bothers him and he has learned to fill his time with God and rediscovering himself.

The ache is always with me and I still can't understand how this happened eventhough I somewhat understand why. My son is a good man who made some unwise choices. No matter where they put his physical body, his heart and soul is with God and his family. We have all learned not to take each other for granted and to stay positive and put our trust in the Lord and each other. In God's time, not ours, he will be home with us again. His attorney has just filed the brief for his appeal and I am going to stay positve and expect best. Prayer and positive thinking are very powerful tools and they do work.

Thank you all for your prayers and encouragement. I am praying for all our children and know in my heart that all the pain and suffering we have been through is part of a divine plan. We can choose to suffer and lament our situation or we can choose to see the good in whatever comes. My son needed a good swift kick and though I think this is a bit drastic, apparently God knew differently. He does give us what we ask for though it is often not in the way we expect.

The sun is shining, my child is alive, and my heart is filled with love and anticipation.

Steves Mom. Hi and welcome (back). sorry for the late posting but my home puter is down so I don't get on as often as I intend.
I am sorry to hear of another child in prison, but am happy to hear that God is using this to draw your family close once again.
you are right about God answering our prayers but not the way we expect. my one son was deep into selling meth and I finally prayed for the Lord to deal with him. my son now sits in prison with a 25-life sentence. But I know that that is the only way God felt He needed to deal w/ my son. to get his attention. It hurts, but at least I know that my son is alive and that he has now accepted the Lord into his life.
Remember too that God never gives us more than HE knows we can handle. He is faithful and just and loves us so much.

Mercedes, actually I misread it. ewps! Oh gosh I'm sooo sorry that his siblings feel that way. So very sad. I praise God you're there for him. What a blessing. He is loved by you. I know how hard that must be for you to hold it all inside.

My prayers are for you to feel like your Love for him is exactly what he needs right now. That your love for him will be perfect in that he won't feel any sadness that his siblings aren't there for him in his time of need. That your Heart is beating stronger than ever for his fragile heart.

Praise God! Father, you are here for us every single day in this forum. As we gather thru the darkest and best days together. You are always here for us night and day. Some suffer endlessly. Some celebrate endlessly. Some are silent, some are not. Thank you for letting us cope with ourselves and eachother in the best way we know how. If we could do better, we would. Thank You Father. "There is alot of power that came with that! WOW! I'm serious, I -shook-,fell to my knees, and cried like I was 2 years old...I'm a man and yes I cried like a baby. Yes Bless them, God Bless them."
Susan W. he has a special message for you, I'm going to PM that to you. I cannot thank you all enough for all your prayers. He is right about there being so much power in those posts, they were spoken prayers, and he felt that. Thank you! Thank you so very very much! God Bless.

Lord I lift up Lindas son to you. Lord I dont know if Lindas prayer request is for sickness, or trouble, or just his soul. I don't have to know Lord because you know just what is needed at what precise moment. Father we put this boy in your hands and ask that you put a hedge around him and watch over him in his mothers place. bring him home new to his family. we ask in Jesus name and thank you in advance for your answer.

When our loved ones suffer, we suffer with them. Please help those who are trying to harm eachother, show them your signs like you have shown us. Our daughter was on probation with only four months left. She had come so far in the last two years. Last Thursday we got a call that she had been arrested for driving with prescription drugs. We are heartsick, scared, and worried. She was doing well with her job and she had just got a new one that paid better, she was supposed to start this week. She was visiting with her children and had a home. We have helped her so much the last two years we have scraped bottom. We are retired and live thousands of miles away so she is alone. Her court date is March 17. Please pray for her for comfort and strength.

One day at a time I will walk this road I've traveled so far
One day at a time well I know I will carry on
One day at a time I can see you took my life this far
One day at a time I will take this faith along

All this hope I breathe is given by the hand that carries me
Until I'm complete and I'll take all I will
To understand this plan you have for me, for me

I've been shut up shut down held out held down
In ways I never knew I would
I can't feel your fullness in my life
Well I've been burned out broken torn out torn down
In ways I never knew I would
I can't feel your fullness in my life

One day at a time I will take these words you've given me
One day at a time I will rest in knowing you
One day at a time I will share this gift you've given me
One day at a time I will walk these valleys through

Another tragedy occured here in Alabama last week; A young man killed his wife and 2 year old son; and then later walked into a convenience store and turned himself in to a police officer that was in the store. While I still don't know the circumstances or details of how or why, I found out on Saturday that the young man is the son of a friend of mine. I did not realise this as they have different last names. I called her immediately, and she is in really bad shape. Not only did she lose her grandson and daughter-in-law, but her son is the one that did it. Please pray for Lynn, her son, her family, and the family of her daughter-in-law. Lynn is just devastated. They are burying the mom and baby today. I can't remember her son's name, but sad to say, I'm sure it will be in our paper again, and I will post it to be added to the prayer list. Thank you so much.

you know, this made me think to when david was sentenced for his supposed involvement in a murder. all the times we went to court for status hearings, the sentencing. the victims family was there. I know it is hard to be in the same courtroom. no eyes wander or stray to the other party this time. but I can remember feeling bad for them. even though I knew my son was innocent, to sit there and know they tagged him guilty. at times I wondered how painful it would be to be in their shoes, hear their thoughts. wanted to speak to them yet fearing to.
I prayed a lot for them.
I can't imagine the feelings if I thought my son had participated in this. I probably wouldn't be here on this forum. unless they allow puters @ the funny farm.
my heart goes out to Lynn. how painful. but God can help .

Thanks to all for the prayers for Lynn. Her son's name is Michael. I just got off the phone with her; the funerals were yesterday and she said that the pastor seem to say all the right things so she was able to maintain fairly well. Her daughter-in-laws family were okay with her; but today Michael appeared in court for his plea (not guilty) and her mother began to disrupt things so she had to leave. His attorney told Lynn it would hard on her so she did not attend hearing. Michael has been on medication and was not on it. Lynn still doesn't know what set this off, but has talked with him on the phone, and he's basically lost. He is also on suicide watch. Lynn and I are going to have some one on one when she wants to, and in the meantime we will be talking regularly. She has to go clean out their home and her co-workers want to do this with her. That is going to be so difficult. I thank you, dear friends, and will keep you updated on everything. Be Blessed in all things; prayers for you and your loved ones.

:D:D:D:D:D:D:D Got my call and I am soooo happy. It was perfect timing. Since I had to send two out to the ER, and watch the dayhall and get tons of papers copied to send to ER and transfer one screaming and yelling to another building and I was in the office the one minute he called. That is god for sure. I thank god so much that he sounded just the same. It is like a million pounds lifted off of you.

God bless you all and though I will be away from PTO for the weekend (trout fishing) you will all along with your loved ones be in my prayers. I know it is your prayers that have helped me through this very hard time and made it so much more bearable. Thank you all and see ya sunday night.

please pray for my son, he is angry. He went to the store and they gave him 20.00 worth of sodas, now who would order 20.00 worht of sodas, anyway he had a verbal
argument with the officer, and he told them to put it back, they tried to tell him he did not have enough money, but that is not true since we make sure weekly that he has enough for him and always some left over. so he is very upset.
he was very pleasant and he said he will be ok, but he keeps saying the officers are picking on him.
please pray for malachi, i think he is being stubborn.

VANGEE....Hi ..I asked bub about if anything like that had ever happened that he knew of and he said ALOT of co's are on a power trip!!And that they do get up in the guys faces and will do or try to push their buttons...of COURSE I WILL PRAY FOR HIM!! HOW OLD IS HE AGAIN? HOW LONG HAS HE BEEN THERE.. on a visiting day about a month before he was released took and slammed bubs head into a wall...Now this started because after eating something he ate from the vending machine his stomach started hurting...and they have to use a bathroom seperate from the visitors...i asked why he didnt just go ask a co to go in with him he said can't...i asked y he said drugs mom.....so he was trying to wait for line to go down and went over a knocked and 10 min later co answered the door and when bub asked him he told bub to go back and sit down....bub told him he didnt want to go in his pants and started to go sit down...the co hollared at him to get back and wnt to grab him and bub pulled away...made co mad he grabbed bubs arm and pushed him in there...closed the door and about 3 min later the whole visiting room heard bubs head hit the wall i had one of the porters come ask me if i had seen what went on and then for me to go to the lt. and file a report..bub also filed one...they had to dismiss it because bub had witnesses too... :D
AND I WAS TOLD THAT STUFF LIKE THAT HAPPENS ALL THE TIME..SO TELL YOUR SON TO TRY TO WATCH WHAT HE SAYS AND TEMPER ...SO THEY CANT DO ANYTHING TO HIM...AND BUB ALSO SAID YOU SHOULDN'T WORRY BECAUSE YOU SAID HE SOUNED PLEASNT AND HE KNOWS WHATS HAPPENING THERE ....AND HE WILL BE OK...
HOPE YOU DONT HAVE A HEADACH FROM READING THIS...LOL..HOPE MORE THAT YOU ARE OK...I WAS SOOOOO MAD THAT DAY BECAUSE THE CO ALSO TERMINATED OUR VISIT....I CALLED BACK THERE AND TOLD THE COUNSLER WHAT WENT ON AND SHE WENT TO FIND OUT HOW HE WAS...THERE ARE ALOT OF GOOD CO'S BUT AS WITH ANYTHING ELSE THERES ALWAYS ONE THAT UPSETS THE APPLECART...
BUT I WILL PRAY FOR HIM AND WILL FOR YOU FOR GOD TO HELP EASE YOUR HEART...SASSE

THANKS OS MUCH FOR ALL OF YOUR KIND WORDS, AND ALL OF THE ENCOURAGEMENT. MALACHI IS 22, AND HE HAS BEEN IN PRISON FOR 24 MONTHS AND 2 WEEKS, HE HAS 11 MONTHS TO GO AFTER APRIL 28TH. I DID GET TO VISIT HIM TODAY, HE SEEMS SO SAD, HE SAYS HE WILL BE OK. HE THINKS HE IS BEING PUNISHED, I TOLD HIM TO REMAIN CALM, HE IS TAKING A COGNITIVE THINKING CLASS, HE HAS THREE MORE TO TAKE AND HE WILL BE FINISHED AND THEN I THINK HE WILL HEAR FROM THE PAROLE BOARD.
YOU KNOW I THINK HE IS AFRAID HE WILL GET INTO TROUBLE, HE SAYS HE KEEPS HIS HANDS IN HIS POCKETS, TO REMIND HIM NOT TO USE THEM.
i THINK IT WILL BE OK, HE NEEDS TO THINK POSITIVE, I'M TRYING TO THINK OF A WAY TO SAY IT WITHOUT MAKING HIM SEEM LIKE A KID, WHICH I STILL SAY HE IS MY LITTLE MAN

I left my man because he was using meth, it was the hardest thing I've ever done. I prayed and prayed for my baby. I would pray that he would stop using (he was using daily & wanted to stop but didn't know how), I prayed and prayed asking the Lord to take him out of the environment he was in and caught up in. I prayed to the Lord that my baby would find the Lord because he didn't believe in the Lord WHAT SO EVER! Well...to make a LONG story short. He hasn't used since June 7th, 2007, he was taken out of that environment AND he found the Lord after 32 years of not believing. The reason my baby was taken out of his environment was because he was on parole and got arrested by a dirty cop. Well...he caught a case and was facing 16 years. We prayed and prayed and prayed. Again to make a long story short the police officer who arrested him was caught in court lying (no courtroom lie shall prosper). My baby's case was DISMISSED!!!!! These are ALL miracles!! He's been clean since June 7,2007, he was taken out of the environment he was caught up in, he accepted the Lord in his heart, he reads his bible everyday and prays AND he beat his case!! The only thing I can do is give praise to the Lord!!

Vangee, sounds like your son is working out a dose of reality. Hopefully he will feel the "pain" of being where he is and will never end up there again!

It took my daughter a year to figure that one out. She was in some denial and at about a year of being in county something changed in her and she finally got it. She was not the victim anymore and realized her actions (actually lack of action) put her right where she was.

Keep supporting him he sounds like he needs you desperately! Encourage him and remind him he will be home soon!

Nice to see a post from you again, I left you a message on "sons and daughters" part 2 thread.
Take care and God bless,
Mak

hello faithangel. praise God for you standing in the gap for your son. I know how it is. my son was dealing meth, I started praying for the Lord to intervene and God put Him in prison. no, not what I would have thought, but God does what is right and best. my son accepted the Lord and is growing steadily. he has a long sentence unless the Lord allows a miracle to let him out early. but it doesnt matter... he is free inside or out.

Bless the Lord O my soul and all that is within me, bless His holy name.

You have me laughing D'gal. I took my 3 year old Jackie Joy home yesterday. It's a little over an hour drive and I can't imagine how I'd handle 5 minutes more. She's so much like her momma. Good Morning MotherJ,

I wrote you this really long post last night. Yet when I sent it is said,"server is busy". So I gave up and went to bed.

You have been on my heart. I just wanted to tell you how much I love you and how you inspire me.

I want to be just like you when I grow up!

I know you are worn out from those babies. Yet it is a good tired.

God willing please pray I will see Chance David Friday. I hope and pray I have him all weekend.

Lets get together soon! Next time you are here. Or I can come there when I get back from NY.

Its so beautiful here (not the rain) the flowers and trees etc...
I read you were going to start your garden this week.
I hope the rain stops. There is no better therapy for me.

I have so many flowers..... I can't find a place for more.

Do you think maybe that is why my eyes are running and my nose:eek:

Just wanted to tell you how much I love you and how special you are!

Love,
Jill

Hi Everyone and God bless you all,
It looks like Jonathan has chosen Teen Challenge, he wrote a letter telling them he needs help, I wrote a letter and our Pastor wrote a letter, Monday Jon had a phone interview with them and now he has to fill out an application. His sentence would be up July 31st, but if it takes longer to get the help he needs I believe he will stay at Teen Challenge. He wanted to get a three month program there, but I believe he needs a longer amount of time, so please pray about this. I see a turn around coming and Satan is doing everything in his power to discourage me, I did some interceding in worship on Sunday, I am on the praise team and I was called on the carpet by our pastor for instructing men, so God knows my heart for worship and I know the devil is at work so I need help in the battle PLEASE. I can feel the arrows. I see Jon tomorrow so please pray for a productive visit and a good one. There are other things God is working on in Jonathan's life, possibly a permanent God annointed relationship with someone. So I would also ask for prayer for this also. There is so much. And as always, I am praying for all of you on the rollar coaster ride.
Love you,
Sue

Sue I hope Jon get the teen challenge and it is the length that he needs to be in a good place to be strong when he gets out. The most important thing is that he be able to do go when he gets out, so I agree with you, if he needs longer than that is what is the best thing. I will continue prayers for all of us and our loved ones. I just pray for what is best because I believe that god knows better than we do. Susan

First and always first, I want to thank God for allowing my business to do well over the Memorial Day Weekend. The economy and gas prices have affected the amount of bait people buy and how often they go, and I'm so grateful for this weekend helped me so much.

My prayer request is first for the safety and well-being of my son, all the sons & daughters, and the parents on this forum. My second request is for my back which was aggrevated a lot on this great weekend of work. It is very painful and I would appreciate your prayers to ease the pain. I hope everyone had a good Memorial Day weekend, and either got to see your kids or received a call. You are all always in my prayers.

Hi Everyone,
I don't know if I told you all, but Jonathan turned down the opportunity to go to Teen Challenge, he said it was a year program and doesn't want to be away again. I think he is making a mistake so I really need prayer, I tried to talk to him about it but he walked away with attitude so I didn't visit the following Wed. I just want you all to know he will be required to get help with his drugs, this area is very bad with support groups etc. He thinks he can do this on his own, he needs God to do it for him, so again, I can't take this on myself, I need to give it over, still it is hard, very hard. Sometimes I just want to bang my head against the wall seeing that he keeps making wrong choice after wrong choice and never learning his lesson. I believe that the stress that I have is taking a toll on my mental and physical health and that is why I really need to get into something for co-dependency, still it is hard to find a group. I am almost not looking forward to his release, I keep praying for change so maybe he did truly learn through this whole experience, only time will tell.
Blessings,
Susan W

Susan, I am sorry to hear that Jonathan isn't opting for Teen Challenge. it is a wonderful group w/ a large success rate.
but dont fret, as maybe God isn't finished with him yet. we are all unpolished diamonds in the ruff. Only God sees us as bright and precious stones. the work of completing that task of taking something ruff and unsightly and then tumbling to a fine polish is a process. aparently jonathan isnt ready to yet. just keep him lifted up to God and in HIs time, you will see your son as God does. beautiful

will keep you in prayer. Keep your eyes up on the Lord. He is the Way the Truth and the Life.

I'mHisMom, I hope all continues to go well for your business. This gas cost thing is more and more devastating to so many. I read in the paper that even garage sales are seeing fewer people because of the cost of gas to get to the sales. Wow! We ordered a hybrid and it'll be here by the end of the month. My hubby's work is all driving from one place to another and he averages $50/day to do his job. Ack!!!! The hybrid will help a lot!

Love to all,
Mary

I just have to share this with all of you!!!!!
My son was supposed to do some renovation work for my husband's friend beginning today. My son was greatful for the opportunity to work and the cash he'd make. But this morning, only 30 minutes before my son was leaving to go to the job site, the guy called and cancelled for the day. I was standing with my son when he got the news and the disappointment on his face was very apparent. It then turned to anger and he just sat there shaking his head saying that nothing is ever going to work out for him. Thankfully I was able to calm him down and explain to him that he MUST learn to deal with life's disappointments without getting mad or losing hope. I didn't want him to see the disappointment and loss of hope I was feeling myself so I left the room and began to pray. I thanked God that somewhere out there is someone whose willing to give my son a job. I prayed as if it already happened.
I then went about my morning and only a few minutes later.....

The guy called back and said that my son should come over and work!!!!!!!!!

I'm telling you......I got goosebumps! Tears came to my eyes!!!!!!!! As always, my Lord came to our rescue. He takes such good care of me.
I can't praise Him enough!!! Amen!

Oh jame, that' wonderful. I was supposed to "inn sit" for a large Inn. (we ran a B&B for 10 years), anyway, I had already met with the owner, and we set up a time to go over her reservations computer. I was to call her when I was on the way to make sure she wasn't busy, so I called her while on the way, and she cancelled on me. Told me she was going to close the Inn while away, rather then have an innsitter. Unfortunately, she didn't call back!! I was bummed, we could have definetly used the $!)
Praise report- I'm just thankful for good friends.

jame, justadeb... my daughter - the one in Montana where my son in law did the river thing (posted somewhere)... he accepted the Lord and is really on fire. well my daughter was really bummed that they were soooo broke... had pawned everything they could. no gas no food, job already paid on. etc. she was near breaking point. I cried w/her and prayed... and a bit later... she called... the homeowner had walked up to sil and handed him a $500 check. :) our DADDY is sooo awesome that He cares so much for our needs when we need the most.

Please Pray for my son, his name is Malachi and he sound crazy, he was babbling when I visted him on saturday. I had to take away his phone calls because I had become a phone messenger, not one or two other calls, but then he called his sister and asked her to call for other inmates. We did this at first but my son has tsken the S out of stretch and now there are at lrast 3 of these calls every day, I allowed him to call everyday.
Now I told him this evening he is not allowed to call until August 14th, and when he calls he better not have any request from anyone, He also got in trouble and he is on store restriction for 60 daysn he asked me agsin to do some crayz thing I told him ok but again I told him I'm not doing that either.
I don't know if he is showing off or if he is scared, my sister and daughter thinks it is just him being kind. I think that is too kind.
He just needs to think before he acts and don't involve me in his foolishness.
Well at first i asked for prayers for my Son but I guess I need a pryer too.
Does anyone else have this call this other inmates family problem
Thanks Vanessa

I am so glad this is back on top. It helps all of us. We all need encouragement at times.

Jame..... Unbelievable how Good God is. That calls was a divine appointment! How is your son doing?

D/G ..... Once again how great is our God. I have been praying for your daughter and husband. I have been where she has been. I have been broke not even money for baby formula. I went to the mailbox and there was a check that was unexpected. Too cool. I thank God for answered prayers. God is never late just cuts it close sometimes. I am excited God is working in your son in laws life

Vangee.... On one hand I am so glad your son is reaching out to his fellow inmates on the other hand there has to be some boundaries. I think you are being reasonable yet generous. Will be praying.

During my pity pot crawling my way out of the dark hole seeking freedom and yet tryingto let go and surrender. God sends laughter. I have been laughing at many posts here today.

Ms. M's daughter is a millionaire from Conn. She is heavily involved in the Obama campaign. She told me she sent Ms. M and I a gift. I was so excited as she sends awesome gifts. We got it today. Two Obama bumper stickers.
No way no how am I putting one on my car. She is coming to visit. I am wondering all day what do I do? Its not that I am against him, I am just leaning towards McCain.

So........ I get Ms. M in her wheelchair holding the American flag. I put one bumper sticker on her forehead and one on her chest. I take a picture and send it to her daughter. She emails back...... she thought it was so great she has passed it on to a head guy in Obama's camp. Maybe she will be on his website she wrote.

Oh dear.... and just think Ms. M is a strong and feisty Republican. I solved my problem, no sticker on my card.

But..... Ms. M being a OBAMA MAMA????? Hmmm I have a feeling that might be a problem.

So I am thankful for laughter and praising God when the tears and brokenheart get too much he sends laughter.

Hello everybody! Vangee my heart pours out for you and your son. I pray he can find the words to say No to the other inmates. I pray that he's going to be ok. The babbling that you mentioned scares me. Be sure he's not being intimidated to do this. I don't know what a solution is to that. It's all messed up. Father, please take care of this situation so him and his mother and let them be at peace.

Good evening everyone, I have a PRAISE REPORT and I want to thank GOD and all of you praying mothers, sisters and friends! About a week ago-I was really down & out and could barely pray for myself. Wendy Tyler posted a prayer request for me & my son as he was falling a part right before my eyes and I was barely hanging on by a thread. You all sent up prayers for us and let me tell you they were answered!

I waited to send this as I have been in total shock and really could not believe it was true until I saw it noted on the inmate locator today. They voted "YES" on 8/12/2008-RMS! My son made his PRD date and they voted to grant his release to mandatory supervision with the release date of 9/5/2008! I want to thank all of the kind people who said prayers for my son and for me, for all the great information, advice and support. This has been a rough road to travel-but with God's mercy and your support-we have made it. I am not sure what happens after this-but I am so very thankful for God's blessings and thankful to each of you who gave me support and answered all of my many questions!

I will keep you all posted-don't ever give up hope. Never under estimate the power of Prayer! BECAUSE PRAYER CHANGES THINGS! Thank you and God bless each of you and your families.

Hi Everyone,
I recently posted that everything was bad, it seems communication at best was poor, but we all sat down and talked. Some rules were laid out and my husband was good at handling the current situation, it seems like when Jon first came home we were so caught up in the joy that things never got communicated regarding our expectations. Well, he is doing much better. He cooks dinner for us and is an excellent cook, he may have a ministry in Vermont but that still is on the prayer burner. PLEASE pray for this upcoming visit with Stephanie from Canada. She is coming Saturday, YIKES. I am just overwhelmed. She is staying for a week.
I do have some bad news regarding my job, I have been in health care for 30 yrs and have never had a problem with absenteeism, when Jon went to jail I missed 8 days in a year and a half. My boss was supposed to give me warnings, written and verbal but never did. Now it is time for my evaluation and she has me in tears, she told me so that she doesn't get in trouble for not following procedures she needs to give me a 1 in attendance and I may not get a raise. I am devastated because I have always gotten good evaluations and I am struggling now financially. So please pray that somehow God works this all out. I would appreciate double prayers this coming week for the visit and tomorrow for the decision at my job. Thank you all. I am still praying for all of your needs.
Love,
Susan W.

By law, she must follow due process which means a verbal warning, a written warning complete with how to improve and by what date. If your boss did not follow due process, then she most certainly is in the wrong and has no foot to stand on. You, however, have the due process law on your side.

You can look up state employment or federal employment laws and it's stated very clearly.

In the meantime, you are in my prayers. I've been in your position before and know how it feels.

Susan. glad to hear the good update on your son. about your prayer requests.. the only thing that comes to me is Romans 8:28. for both your coming visitor and for your job.

Romans 8:26-28 26 Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us F21 (http://www.searchgodsword.org/desk/?query=ro+8:28&t=nkj&st=1&new=1&sr=1&sc=1&l=en#F21) with groanings which cannot be uttered. 27 Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God. 28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. and remember, when one door closes, God has something special in mind and will open another door for you. whether that is same job, better working conditions, or something new and exciting. give it to Him with expectation. He will do it.

Hi Everyone,
We picked Stephanie up at the airport today, the two of them are so cute together, they look like a match made in heaven, they are tent camping for two days at a Christian retreat. I just felt like crying knowing that God brought them together and they seem to compliment each other so well. They behave like they have known each other forever. I just know this is the work of God and wouldn't be surprised to see a wedding in the future.

hey all . just wanted to share... my daughter in alaska, the one w/drinking problem... she is doing so good right now. it has been almost a month since she has drank, and yes, she is having depression (expected) but doing good considering she has no support from her so-called bf who continues to drink - and she has no friends whatsoever there. but told her when she needs to talk, even if she only leaves a message. call me, call her sister, call pastor/ass't pastor here in az.
but talk to her every couple days. she is doing good. please continue prayers for her.

Dear Dutch Girl,
I will continue to pray that the Lord gives your daughter the strength to stay sober, He is able. The depression will lift and I will continue to pray that Satan doesn't use that to entice her to go back to the drinking.
Dear Lord,
I lift up Dutch Girl's daughter who is weak right now. I bind Satan in this area of drinking that has taken a strong hold in her past. Lord I pray that she will turn to you for strength and guidance. We know that you promise that if two or three of us are in agreement according to Your will, our prayers will be answered. Lord I also lift up my sister Dutch Girl to you and pray you will continue to give her the strength to be the encourager she is to all of us here in this forum.
God bless you. The Lord is kind and merciful. I will continue to pray for you and your entire family.

Dear Mary,
Thank you so much for asking about Jonathan, things are going better now. At first it was an adjustment. He is camping at a Christian retreat with Stephanie, a girl he met here on prison talk, they are great together. I am praying for this to be the girl God wants him to be with. My son may have a ministry in Vermont, our pastor recommended him to counsel young people who are not quite legal age and are experiencing family difficulties and are in trouble with drugs, alcohol and the legal system. Please pray about this. Jon has a desire to get into full time ministry and this would be an open door. Stephanie and Jon have the desire to marry one day and get into full time ministry together, possibly prison ministry, the Lord is really here among us at Prison talk and I pray that every one here will see the power He has over our sons and daughters. Prayer is so powerful and we are so strong here. I can feel the Holy Spirit every time I read the posts in this group. God bless you Mary. Keep in touch.

Dear Ovi,
I am sending a multitude of prayers up for you every day and interceding for you. God bless. Please try to write as much as you possibly can so we know how to pray. For now, I am allowing the Holy Spirit to intercede.

What a wonderful praise report of complete delieverance and healing. I have goose bumps thinking about how awesome God is and how he works.

Hi Everyone,
I need urgent prayer please. It seems like every door I go to Satan is crouching there waiting to steal, kill and destroy, I can't go into any detail but something has occured that will give me nightmares. Please pray for this, I claim the blood over my home and that Satan stays away from our family.
God bless,

Let's Roll!
I love the great news being shared on this thread. God is good! :)
