HEY LADIES I WAS WONDERING IF ANY OF YOU GIRLS HAVE SENT DRESS OUT CLOTHES TO SOMEONE COMING OUT OF LANCASTER. I'M SENDING MY FRIEND HIS DRESS OUT CLOTHES AND I'M NOT SURE WHAT I CAN SEND AND WHAT I CANT. HE HASNT SENT ME HIS FORMS YET.. HIS RELEASE DATE IS 2-16 AND I KNOW YOU CAN SEND IT LIKE A FEW WEEKS OR SOMETHING BEFORE. I JUST WANT TO START SHOPPING EARLY AND HAVE EVERYTHING READY SO I DONT MISS ANYTHING.....

I never did send dress out to lancaster, but I would think that most prisons are all the same.. I sent my husband some woolen underware (top and bottom)- Longjohns some would call them.. smiles. a pair of boxers, a tee-shirt, a Raiders jersey, a new pair of jeans, and tennis shoes, socks, and a belt.. Took the box to the post office, and they will tell you to write dressouts all over the box.. and then send it to the prison. My husband told me to send his dressouts a month in advance.. GOOD MORNING LADIES. MY EX JUST FOUND OUT THAT HIS RELEASE DATE IS INFACT THE 17TH OF THIS MONTH...HE HAD GOT INTO SOME TROUBLE AND WASNT SURE IF HE WOULD GET TIME ADDED OR NOT... WELL I GUESS HE DIDNT AND NOW IS HE GETTING OUT ON HIS ORIGINAL RELEASE DATE.... HE TOLD ME THAT HE SPOKE TO A C.O IN THERE AND HE SAID ITS NOT TO LATE TO SEND HIS DRESS OUTS. I SENT THEM YESTERDAY AND WAS TOLD THEY SHOULD BE THERE BY TOMORROW....

HE should be fine. you can send them no more than 30 days before. Which would have been January 17th or after. DId you write dress outs all over the box.

I'm not really sure what you mean by what CAN'T go in, but dress outs are just that - a set of clothing for him to wear. All clothing he needs from underwear to belt and even jewelry. His wallet and ID if he has any can also go in. Shoes and socks.

I have ALWAYS sent his wallet and ID and his watch - along with all the clothes, shoes, etc. So they aren't allowed to have their legal ID? That is the silliest stuff I've heard in a long time and it's not that way at other prisons.
