Proposition 36-Substance Abuse and Crime Prevention Act of 2000
Prop 36 was approved by California voters in November 2000, and took effect on July 1, 2001. The purpose and intent of the act is to divert nonviolent defendants, probationers and parolees charged with simple drug possession or drug use offenses from incarceration into community-based substance abuse treatment programs. I think I liked this resource best of the ones that I have found though....Prison Talk Online > "OFFENDER" FORUMS > Probation, Parole & Supervision > 'Making Parole Work' This is an excel. help for anyone w/someone being released...
I'm keeping my sons out of there once they are released no matter what I have to do!
Found a great source for training and employment last night but then my pute crashed. Gotta go find it. Without a job people get too discouraged and end up right back in there again!
