saw the lightening video. for me it is not what I can bear to see, a death row final goodbye.
I do at times listen to sad songs and can get lost in them, they can help me mourn things...then after it is over, I have to be more upbeat.
you know music can soothe, help you cry, uplift you. we just have to watch we do not let it get us too low..life does that on its own a lot of the time, doesnt it?

I agree, life does do it on its own, I wish non of us had to go through this type of pain. I listen to music pretty much most of the day and I can tell you, I live 4 hours away from where my son is and all the way down there I always live to Elvis, I know, alil crazy but it keeps my head sane, so I'm chipper when I get there :) I will pray for you and your son, may your future be blessed.

Music saves me when things look bleak. It can snap me right out of it. Here are a few off of my "Fix My Head Songs" playlist.

Strength Courage and Wisdom by India Irie

Dreadful Selfish Crime by Robert Earl Keen

My Life by Billy Joel

Something to Be Proud of by Montgomery Gentry

Someday I will by Jimmy Buffett

Don't Worry be Happy by Bobby McFerrin

Pacing the Cage by Jimmy Buffet ( this one makes me cry)

Put Your Records on by Corrine Bailey Rae

Piece of Work by Jimmy Buffett

I hope You Dance by Leann Womack

Unwritten by Natsha Bedingfield

Just the Two Of Us by Will Smith

Walking In Memphis by Marc Cohn

Some People Change by Montgomery Gentry

I Go to Extremes by Billy Joel

Peblelina - I got to meet Elvis when I was 14. We stayed next to him in a hotel in Vegas. Met him, Priscilla, Dad, stepbrothers - got a kiss and pictures. He was SOOOOO georgeous and charismatic. Looked ya right in the eye like you were the most important person he ever met. I was love struck for months.

hello everyone, just wanted to share this video with you. you can find it on "youtube". I would post a link, but not sure if it's against policy. any way the band is The Last Goodnight and the song is called Pictures of You. I also like Mindy Smith the song One Moment More but it makes me break down.

Two good songs reggie42 - just listened to them both on utube. I'm heading straight to iTunes store right now. Always need new songs. Thanks.

What an amazing time we live in - people I don't even know can give me helpful input - I go to U tube and see it in a second and then go to iTunes and buy it for myself. 15 minutes ago I felt alone and now I have a little boost from my stranger friends. I am grateful and feeling lucky this moment. Thanks
