USP Beaumont: [Federal] Prison guard indicted of drug charges

A federal prison guard was indicted today for allegedly trying to bring marijuana into the prison on behalf of an inmate in exchange for money, according to a press release from the U.S. Attorney's office.
John Leroy Chambers, III, 26, of Beaumont was arrested Tuesday.
If convicted, Chambers could receive up to five years in federal prison and a fine of up to $250,000.00.
