Hello everyone,
I'm new here and my husband has been at Sebastion County waiting for nearly three months now. He turned himself in twelve days after we got married. We are from Norman, Ok (Boomer, Sooner) and it's really hard for me to get down there to see him because of the long drive and it's really expensive for him to call me too but I don't care cause I want to talk to him.

He's been hearing different things from different inmates and people about when he'll get out and such. His court given lawyer told him that on his charge of conspiracy of 5 years that he would only have to serve 10 months, but right now his PE/TE date says 4/26/2009 but that could just be because he's still in county and hasn't moved yet.

He wants to go to bootcamp or whatever but as long as it's taking for him to leave county I'm not sure it'll be worth it. Is it likely that he'll get out in 10 months or was that just a lie to get him to take the deal?

I miss him so much and I've read some reviews on here before I decided to post and it seems that everyone on here takes care of each other. You guys have really made me feel that I'm not alone. It seems like no one knows what I'm going through and no one other than family knows where he is. We told one couple but it seems that you guys on here actually are closer to me than them because you're going through this.

Now that I've worked up the nerve to post, I'll be on here daily, this forum has really been the number #1 reason why I haven't lost my mind yet. The hardest thing right now is trying to focus on my college courses while my baby is gone. His birthday is in two weeks, so that's not going to be a picnic either. What's helped you guys through the days?

pearl rose and texasnurse. I would like to welcome both of you the PTO family. Yes we are all quite close hear even though some of us may not ever meet. This site brings us close together.

pearl rose; is you husband on federal charges of conspiracy? If so the 10 months is way off. People in federal serve approximately 87 per cent of their sentence. If he is state I have no idea. I am sorry to hear such a horrible experience to you and your newly wedded husband. I will keep you all in my prayers.

krummy,
Thank you for your kind words. No he's not on federal time, it's state. All of these different time regulations and sentencing makes me so confused. Thanks though for the warm welcome....

FinallyFree,
That would be great, but doesn't that mean that he'll have to wait a bit longer or something? I would love for him to parole to home in OK, but is that even possible? I'm really not all that sure.

Yes it is possible. If that is the route he is going he cant go to boot camp because they have a special parole that will not be available in OK.
