hay folks,

WILL i ever learn the ins and outs or do s and dont's of our loverly prison system? For almost two years now I've been writing my son regular. always with a return address of course, sometimes stickers, sometimes handwritten. most labels i have are freebies for donating here and there, sometimes full name, somtimes initials, WELL apparentlly I was in a hurry one day last week, sent off a letter, wrote first initial ,last name and of course address, FOR some reason , my son was refused this letter, and told because i didn't include full name????? geewhizzzz,,,, will i ever learn??? seems mighty nitpicky to me. I'll be calling next week to apologize or emailing.

They are really fussy about full name on return. I have been tempted in a hurry to do what you did as welll but been doing this so long now and have had so much refused, think twice and hunt down my return address labels or write it out.
It will be nice if you can still do stickers and all at MSP; they stopped them at SMCI because someone had to go do something stupid and ruin it for all.

believe me , i'll write out my full name and address from now on, or stickers!! IT would be nice if each place followed the same criteria, ITs a new learning curve each facility. IF they would just quit bouncing him around THAT would be a plus TOO.

Yes.. It ALL has to be there on the envelope..
BUT even after 6 years I REFUSE to get labels for my love one's info. She is not guilty and even though she has been in the same facility for almost 6 years I just CAN NOT make myself get "stickers" to put on the envelope with her info on it. I would feel like I was giving up on her coming home.
At CMCF the "building" they are located in must be correct or they want get the letter ( women's section).

Don't feel bad Trailrider!! I've done the same thing too! In fact on one for some dumb reason I wrote Mom and then my address in the return corner and they sent that back!! Oh well maybe one day I'll learn!!

hay thanx for the thumbs up!! I've done the mom thing too along with name and address, I write all over the outside of the envelope and even draw a horse sometimes. I think someone must be PMSing every now and then to send one back because of an initial, very petty in my book!!!!

I AGREE!!!! They do not WANT to "WORK" but something like this they love to do. It seems sometimes they just want to do what they can ( small things) to aggravate us.
