Hi Everyone!!

I was wondering if anyone knows what happens when an inmate is released. Let me be more specific: My wife is being released from Central California Womens' Facility (CCWF) in Chowchilla on THANKSGIVING DAY, Nov. 22, 2007. She said she was going to the bus station in Fresno and would call me once she arrived in Los Angeles.

What I want to know is:
(1) How will she get from Chowchilla to Fresno? Will the prison give her a ride, does she need to take a taxi, or what?

(2) Exactly what time do they usually release an inmate who's getting out of prison? Are they released early in the morning,....exactly how early? Midnight? 5:00 a.m.? 6:00 a.m.? 8:00 a.m.?....??????????

Thanks for your help!!!

Here is a link that may help you. You can find some numbers to call and ask the prison if they give inmates rides. Hope this helps.

I have picked up someone at VSPW across the street from CCWF, and the van that brought the inmates out dropped them in the parking lot at 10:30 AM. I understand that they start processing them out at 8:00 AM, and it just depends on how many of them there are how long it takes.

I don't know this for fact, but I have been told that if there is no one there to pick them up that they give them a ride to the bus station.
