Just curious as to how many pages you guys usually write when you send a letter to your special person in prison. Not including pictures or things printed from the internet.

Usually about 3-4 a day, but it gets longer when I send her jokes, and local news from the internet.

I usually write between 8 and 15 pages a week, plus additional stuff like jokes etc.

The amount I write varies. Somedays I write 1 paragraph, and other times I will write 6 pages.

I have been writing 4 pages everyday. And I have the kids write once a week.

It depends if I'm in an exceptionally chatty mood or not :) For some of my penpals, I write three or four pages, and that's it. For others, or when I'm feeling particularly talkative, I'll write 10 pages or more! :)

It depends on my mood really. I would say normally my letters are about 4 pages long. But there are times when I send 10 pages, or 1 page.

Well, it depends. Sometimes I write him a 5 page letter if something is going on out here and sometimes 1 - 2 pages to update him with everything.

Before I was able to visit I was writing 10-15 page letters every day. I was also getting letters every day. Now that I visit and we can talk the letters have been between 2-4 pages a few times a week.

I usually write 3 to 4 pages....every other day....and jokes and poems...etc in between....it can't take more than one stamp...so, have to split them up.

I usually write 5-6 pages is my norm...at times it has been as many as ten....

Well like TNC said since I have been visiting every week its like 1-2 pages, from me once a week. BUt before I was sending him long letters and like all the time.

I write 2-3 pages, and then i include jokes or cartoons from the internet for my husband to read.

I write 2 letters a week. One on Monday and the other mailed on Friday. Both letters are about 15-20pg's. So in a week I'll write about 30-40pg's. Wow! I didn't really realize that I wrote that much! But the paper is not the normal 8.5x11 inches,it's the smaller size that I use.

Lately i've been writin' 4-5 pages a day!! I've been really missin' him b/c i missed his last visit & won't be able to see him till the 1st :(

My friend and I usually try to see who can write the most. We started a little contest, so far I have won but he will catch up with me eventually.

I write every day and they're always at least ten pages. One that I sent out the other day was 19.

Well, I wasn't expecting my baby to be in for more than a week. So I just kept a day to day record and was going to give it to him when he got out. I just sent that and some pictures of friends and family yesterday. Including the pictures I had about 15+ pages. Today I sent him a one paragraph letter, a picture and some reading information to keep him busy. God only knows what I'll send tomorrow. ;) I plan on sending something everyday. It'll help keep the sanity of the both of us. :D

Between 20 to 30+ pages each day. Hard on the postage, but good for the soul :).

The most I have ever written is 4-5 pages. I could never write a 14-15 page letter I can't find that much to write about. Is these 14-15 page letters front and back or just front?

I usually write 2-4 pages every day. That's about my limit for now since I get to visit 3 times a week and talk on the phone just as much. When he gets sentenced, the letters will probably be longer because I won't be able to visit as often.

I write him everyday except on Sundays, most of the time it's 2 pages front and back...

Wow some of you write more than 10 pages I can barely ink out 3.

SHORTEST LETTER OR NOTE , ABOUT 1 PAGE, LONGEST 27 PAGES ..LOL AND HE STILL HASNT BEAT ME. I WRITE ABOUT 3 TIMES A WEEK.

I try to send out as many letters as i can a week some times i get 12 pages in one letter some times it is only like 3 pages it all depends. I do not write as much now becasue we get to see each other every week and talk every night so i do not write as much. but my daughter writes (draws) alot so when i send the letters out i normally send like 3 or more letters out at a time. I try to send jokes and pictures alot so he has something to look at!

I write about 3 pages a day, typed. I was sending news articles from the net, but they told me I couldn't do that anymore, so I stopped.

I type my letters and I guess it depends on my mood. Most of my letters are 2 or 3 pages. Im wondering what people write in 15 page letters. I just dont have that much to say I guess.

With my present p/p I write about 4 pages. I have also just sent off two new letters to two inmates so Of course i don't know how that will go. Letters can vary as to what is happening here and what I am doing. I try to keep my p/p's informed as to what I am doing and how I am doing it. I send along the shopping receipts so they can see what I have bought and how much things cost. I slso send newspaper clippings of things I think they may be interested in. The envelope is quite thick when it slides into the post box.

In general I will write 3 pages on a daily basis, sometimes something extraordinary happens that requires a page or 2 more but usually 3. This does not include pics I take on webcam or other downloadable funnies and other internet things of interest.

The number with me always varies, but they can be anywhere from 1 to 4 pages a day, and I also always send jokes, fun pages, etc. If for some reason I just can't find time to write I'll send a card or something meaningful from the internet.

HOWEVER guys, are we talking about typed pages or handwritten pages here - that makes a difference.

I am sure our friend/loved one doesn't care about the length really, as long as we write.

My normal letter is 5 pages long...depends on the issue..sometimes it 7-10 if I have a story to tell..:)

I have a penpal that I write to on DR. I write him a letter of around 5-8 pages each week. I'm in Australia and he is in California, so visiting him is not an option for me at this time, so I just write and write and write........and I love every minute of it! He is my personal diary!

I usually write him 10 pages a day. I don't get to visit often as hes in the U P of Michigan.

Mine have to be a minimum of 6 pages..it just doesn't feel like an "Angel Letter" if it's not 6 or any longer. He wonders what's wrong if it isn't that long too. He's the talker, i'm the writer. :)

Almost all the time I write my man 2 to 4 pages which would be 2 or 3 times a week.

During Holidays I try ta do things special for him... example...I made him his own Christmas Tree and stockings for him and his cellie etc... I even made up a poem for his entire POD that was a lil take off of Twas' tha Niight Before Christmas but was about his particular jail (Huge Hit wit tha Guys)...Jus anything that I can think of ta make him smile that incredible smile he has!!!

It really varies for me. I send Kevin something everyday. It may just be 1/2 a page to tell him I love him and I'm thinking about it...but in the same day...I'll send out like a 2 or 3 page letter plus song lyrics off the net, word puzzles, pictures...anything. But if I only send out one letter a day...it's usually 5 or 6 pages (front only). Last week...2 days in a row I sent out letters one was 10 pages and the other 15. Today I sent two letters off...one was 7 pages...the other 10. So...like I said...it varies. But every letter I've ever got from him is no less than 6 pages (front and back) and I usually get 3 or 4 a week.

i usually write any where between 3-8 pages. And that is back to front counting as one page. he normally replies with the same length or longer. He is very good at that.

I may be a little late in getting on this, but I thought I'd answer anyway. I have a friend that I write to. We call it our novel writing, not letter. We started out at 56 pages (long legal front and back, I write small). Now he's beat me, he's up to 135 pages. His friends want my address so they can write to me also, but luckily, he says "no". People ask what we can possibly write about? And as he asnwers "we have a long going converstation". And that's exactly it, we have a long going converstation. It's fantastic. And it our novels, we don't send pictures, jokes or whathaveyous. Just novel writing.

Everyday I write my husband 2-3 pages and include a scripture from the bible.

5 pages. Anything larger gets returned, so 5 pages every envelope. But I might send anywhere from 1 to 5 envelopes a day!!

ususally about 4. for the last three weeks my man is lost in the system and i am keeping a running letter so when he surfaces i can mail it. i am on page 24.

I write usually 4 sometimes 5 letters a week averaging 10 pages each. But I only get to visit once a year and I get no phone calls. When we had phone calls the letters were equal in number but less pages.

I should buy stock in the post office. I write to my man just about every day, 3 or more pages a day sometimes 2x's a day.

I write at least a typed letter everyday, and most of the time I write 2 or 3 typed pages.

My letters are almost always 12 pages! I don't know why 12 but.....I can write that in one sitting no problem a couple times a week! I guess i just have alot to say hahah!

I write about two pages everyday, but I only mail letters 3 days a week. This way when he gets letters he can read whats going on here at home and it saves on stamps. Hes happy with our system. He does the same he writes everyday but only sends mail 3 days a week.

On my break at work I usually write two pages. Then at home at night I write between 4-12 pages. I usually send out between 5-10 letters a week. A lot of stuff happens or seems to happen to me and I've got lots to write about.

Well, I voted 6-7 because that would be the average amount and that is EVERYDAY. But I have to say that they are sometimes longer, plus poems and lyrics. But when he writes to me and I write him back I write about 10-12 pages. Hey, I got nothing better to do and I think about him all day, so I write to him to tell him how I am feeling, whats going on on the outside, and how much I love and miss him.

I write some every day from a paragraph to 5 pages. We have a goat farm and he likes to know what is going on. Some days around here are more exciting then others. Right know he is waiting for me to write when our last goat kids!!! Keeps me busy and him still feeling like he is a part of the action. He writes and draws diagrams of they way he would like things to be. Like the inside of the new goat barn and new fence lines.

I write to my step dad when I can. I just moved out of my moms house and in with my guy about 4 months ago. so I have alot on my mind. lookin for a job and payin bills.. out on my own now. YEAH. But freaky at 1st. But when I do write him I write up to 8 pages at a time. I do think I went over that to 13 pages one time. I need to be for writing him soon.

I write about 6-7 pages everyday unless things get too busy. If I don't have time to write everyday, I'll send a card or postcard just so he knows I'm thinking about him.

I write about 2 pages on the average. My letters always seem too short to me, but I visit regularly, and we talk on the phone usually about every 3 or 4 days. So alot of times, I don't have much left over to say. In between visits, and letters, and talking on the phone, I send lots of cards, which he really loves also.

I don't have a set number. My average is 3-5. I have written as little as one page and as much as twenty-five pages. My writing is fairly small and my Baby's writing is at least twice the size of mine. His letters to me are usually 6-7 pages.

I usually write between 3 and 5, but the longest letter he has recieved was 10 pages. When i told him he was getting a 10 page letter, he was scared that it was a letter that said i was leaving him. I reassured him that the letter was not about that and that would never happen.

My husband usually gets 3 to 4 letters a week from me and the same amount of cards also..They range from 5-20 pages long everytime..I also like to send him pictures, drawings, poems, song lyrics and just really anything that I think will cheer him up and know that even though hes locked up Im still with him mind, body and soul and thats just a reminder that no matter what happens or where hes at, I'll always love him..

i realy write to john! we talk so much it would be almost pointles to write. If i have to tell him things i tell him during the week or on out log visits we have. (we have 12 hours of visits a week) AND talk about 10 hours on the phone! Wehn i did write him letters they would be about a page long typed. or maybe 2 pages front and back written

My letters are usually six pages long this is what they always end up being. :D I don't write everyday, usually two to three times a week.

It varies from day to day. Some days I have a lot that I want to tell him and other days I don't have much. I just make sure that I write at least once everyday just to let him know that I am thinking about him and love him. He really doesn't care how long they are just as long as I keep the letters coming on a daily basis (except for the weekends...we all know why...)

i write any where from 10 to 15 pages once a week with a couple of shorter letters during the week...photos, jokes, and his sports or religious intrests are unually sent with the smaller letters. Why r standard envelopes getting smaller in this world? each week i find myself cramming soo much into the slowly shrinknig envolpe pouch i'm sure there is a cut back in the envelope factory and it's not my over abundance for chatter...lol

Longest was 18 pages front and back! shortest was one page.

There is a 5 page limit in VA :eek: , so i write 5 pages front n back 2-3 times a week. I dont think i ever went below 5 pages. It hard cuz i like to talk a lot n the limit kills me! :blah: but whatever i forget to put in the letters i usually remember to tell him during our phone calls or visits.:D

It really depends on my mood. If he has rubbed me the wrong way, then i'll only write him 1 or 2 pages every few days. If were all loved up, then it gets increased... 15+ pages every day! The most i've written to him was 72 pages... that was written over a weekend (1/2 Sat and all Sun)!! If i type him a letter i chat for England!! :)

I always start out telling him about my day, planning on writing a couple of pages, but then my thoughts start to run and it turns out to be like 9 or 10. I always have sooo much to say. He writes as often as he can, usually once a week or so...he's never been much of a writer...But when they come...They Rock!!

I usually send a 2 to 4 page letter once a week and then one page letters every day. In between letters I send cards and when I'm travelling I send postcards from where I am. I do send something every day.

ONE WEEK I MIGHT SEND LIKE 10 LETTERS THAT INCLUDES JOKES, AND OTHER STUFF.. AND SOME WEEKS ONLY 1 LETTER WITH A FEW PAGES.. BUT I AVERAGE ABOUT 6 PAGES FRONT AND BACK...AND HE AVERAGES ABOUT 1 OR 2 LETTERS A WEEK WHICH ARE USUALLY AROUND 10 PAGES FRONT AND BACK... I ALSO SEND CARDS TO HIM LIKE TWICE A MONTH AND PICUTURES

Well depending on my time restraints, sometimes my letters can go on and on...to, I guess, maybe 4-5 pages, but never 10. But, I write him almost everyday, and he writes about 3-4 days out of the week. But it's not the content of my letters, because whether it contains one sentence or it is 5 pages, he know's it's coming straight from my heart.

I write my love 2-3 pages a day, mostly just two pages, and when i got alot to say it will come out to 3! He writes me between 2-4 a day, if I'm lucky I'll get a 5 page letter!

I write to him everyday and send a letter out like every other day or ever couple of days and ususally I write anywhere from 4 pages front and back to 8 pages front and back. It depends on his letters and how much I have to say. I also send him stuff in between my letters,like jokes, or pictures or poems, I like to make sure he has mail everyday :D

I usually write around 6 pages, typed. I tried writing by hand, but it's too messy and my hand hurts after 1/2 page. LOL.
