I have an HP with the upgraded screen size. I didn't buy the most expensive one because they said those are most beneficial to gamers. I ended up with a medium priced computer and I really like it.

We have two laptops in our household. I use an Acer and we also have a Dell. The Dell was a little bit more expensive but I much prefer my Acer.

It mainly depends on what you are planning on using the laptop for. The least expensive laptops are good for most word processing, office, and internet surfing tasks. Higher end laptops are intended for use with processor and memory intensive programs for things such as digital editing of media and gaming.
