galgrif 11-10-2007, 08:42 PM Go to the site by clicking where it says order here. It then has a drop down menu and lists which facilities are eligible.
***Amy*** 11-11-2007, 01:17 PM Thanks so much for posting this. I have been so curious about this kinda thing...whta they can have, what it costs, etc. Do you know if there are limits to what you can get them? Can they have a ton of stuff or just a few things? I'm sure it's on the paper thing he is sending but I'm wanting to get an idea of what other ladies send.
Suthrndreamgirl 11-11-2007, 07:03 PM Amy, the info will be on the paper...or you can check out the link online. My guy hasn't received his paper yet, but I read the list off to him from the website. They can have anything...any quanity...offered from the list, as long as it doesn't exceed $100. They charge $3.95 for processing....so the total will be $103.95. You don't have to order $100 worth. I think there's a minimum (like $15...not sure)...but you (he) can order up to $100. I always spend $100...& wish I could do more. They're so limited to what they can have...or what we can do for them....so I always do all that I can when given the chance. Seems like they're not offering as much (or at least different things) as last time around. This is what gets me...they can have cereal....but they don't offer milk. Not even powdered milk????? I see they're offering a single serving size of chocolate milk...but how many of those would you have to stock up on for your bag of cereal? LOL. The coffee they're offering this time my guy said is HORRIBLE! He'd rather have the cocoa. And no pickles this time...just some nasty olives (yuck). Might be ok if you had a martini to go with it. The mac & cheese is high! I was going to go ahead & place his order online...but he wanted to wait until he got the paper...that way he could look at the pictures. LOL. Silly boy!

No, this is for state prisons...You could contact the private prison he is at to see if they will be having a package like this...
The website for the Holiday packages is http://www.accesscatalog.com/shop/index.html you can also access it thru www.acs-us.com
rkered 11-17-2007, 01:30 PM Thanks for the info, I hope he calls this weekend and I will order. I worry about his diet. No fruit or vegtables and high fat. Heart disease runs in our family. No dental care. What the prison system does IS CRIMINAL
I agree with you rkered my son is probably going to have to have dentures and him 28 years old because of no dental care. The prisoners at Guantanamo Bay are treated better than our inmates here in the U.S. and right here in Alabama. It's one thing to punish someone but another to institutionilize!
Suthrndreamgirl 11-18-2007, 09:11 PM I placed my guy's order online...when it went through...I got a message saying the order had already been placed. ???? Crazy, because he was on the phone with me while we went through the list placing his order. Then when I logged back into my account...it doesn't show that I've placed any order. I don't want to retry it...afraid it will place 2 orders. Guess I'll wait until tomorrow & check the status again. Has anyone else placed their orders online?
Suthrndreamgirl 11-20-2007, 12:23 PM I checked back online last night....the order showed up on my account. I guess it just took a little while for it to show up on the system.
etaylor20 11-20-2007, 10:21 PM Thanks you for this! I was wondering when the list was going to come out!
rkered 11-24-2007, 02:21 PM I placed an order online and it was over the amount with tax. Is this a problem? The actual order was $99 overcharged dollars.
Suthrndreamgirl 11-24-2007, 11:54 PM Mine was the same way. We added all the way through the items while on the phone together...after he hung up...I went ahead & placd the order. That's when I noticed with the tax it was over the limit. I went back & subtracted a few of the items...but it was still over. There are only certain items that tax is applicable for (or at least that's the way I read it). So without knowing which items tax is added to...I don't know how to reduce the cost. I just went ahead & sent the original order in. I'm sure they'll take something out if it's too much. I read where your credit card isn't charged until the order goes out....so adjustments will be made according...I guess. In the past I filled out the sheet & mailed it in...whatever the item cost was is all you paid. You didn't have to add taxes at the end. I guess we'll find out, huh?
***Amy*** 12-04-2007, 07:14 AM Okay so this will be my first time to send anything. I have not received any paper. He got something because he called and said he had put me down as the person that would order it, and turned it in for approval. Now, he has not received any news back, and I have not received anything in the mail. Will this paper you talked about come from him? The facility? How does that work? That way I can look for it in the mail. I get so many credit card offers that I just throw away....the credit card offers have increased since I've been using GTL by the way. HMMM. But anyway, I just wondered how the paper gets from point A - him, to point B - me.
Also in September he got a disciplinary so from what I've read on here, that would disqualify him. Anybody have any input there? Might explain where the "paper" disappeared to.
Men are so detail free. "I got a paper. Some Christmas food."
I'm like "Okay what kinda form? An x3298b7-0.92 form? What does it say at the top baby? What all do you get? What's the cost, weight, serving size, caloric content, do they harm baby seals in the packaging process, etc?"
Men.
Blueyez94 12-04-2007, 12:33 PM You can order online. Here is the website: http://www.accesscatalog.com/shop/login.htm?ProgramID=65
He has to find out if he is appoved to receive the package since he does a disciplinary.
Suthrndreamgirl 12-04-2007, 08:37 PM Amy...you may call to the prison & inquire if he's able to receive the package (due to the disciplinary thing)...if your guy hasn't found out yet (men!!!) lol. I had to make a call to the prison the other day & spoke to the Warden. He was very nice & very helpful. Just call & ask them who you need to speak with about the Christmas packages...if he's eligible for a package & all the details. That way you KNOW you'll get the correct info. If there's anything else...just let us know. I was kind of disappointed in the selection (or lack thereof) that was offered this year. But they're always happy to get anything extra.
