My man has been @ CTF soledad for about 1 yr and 1/2 now, and has been housed North Toro Dorm the whole time, until recently they moved him to the south Yard. I believe he went to commitee and his level dropped.
Anyone happen to know what differences in the north or south dorms ?

North is level 3 and South is level 1, so I'm SURE this will be a great move for him. I've never known anyone personally at South so I can't give you any details, but knowing it's a level 1 yard tells us a lot. I'm sure he'll have more freedoms and less drama.

Anyone here have a loved one on South who can give some more details about what life's like over there?

That would probably be MFW and she's MIA... no computer right now... as soon as I hear from her I will ask. I know she always said Cyco it was way better than North. I never got there though PapaBear should have been in South but they placed him in North.

South dorm is more laxed and they do not get many visitors. North is a higher level

i received a letter from him and from he says, way more lax and he is more relaxed :) he said none of the politics, and have ping pong, tennis, fllowers on the yard :p somewhere to do his time comfortable. so i feel better.

I am a south yard junkie and it is pretty cool in there because the visiting never gets busy. Our men are at a lower level.

I'm going to visit CTF North Toro Dorm .I'm coming from LA. This is my first time .What time should I be there. Pls help.I have my two kids with me too

First you might want to make sure they are having visits, then if they are and you are going on Sat, you will want to be there by 6:30 am to get in at a decent time. As far as your childern go, make sure you have there birth certificates with you. It's a long way up there not to get in. Dress warmly, the night time gets to be about 45 degrees. Since the trouble last week though, I would call up there first just to be safe. If they are having visiting, Enjoy! Don't forget the 1 dollar bills and the quarters!
