does anyone know about the beto unit he was trnsferred there from the telford unit i need info:)

my husband has been there just over a year or so and beto is just about like all the rest of them however he says it is the worse one yet, but he was another unit for about 12 years so it is a change from what he was used to

my brother was there for a while and he said its real big on gangs and people who are younger then most and dont have alot of sense...

Jannica, my brother-in-law just got moved there too. I am very curious about the place as well. Can you pass any information you find out to me? He was moved from McConnell Unit. He was very well adjusted there. The entire family is really worried and upset.

My husband said that Beto I is a gladiator unit. There is a rumor going around the Hughes Unit that they are going to move those in safekeeping to the Beto I unit. That doesn't make any sense to me but then I don't think like those who run TDCJ.

Brandon has been at Beto since June 2006 and I know he had no problems up until our divorce in May..I haven't kept up with him since then though, but he's almost 37, so he's not one of the young guys. I know before we split, he said as long as you keep to yourself, it's not as terrible as you get led to believe by rumor.

My hubby been in Beto for a few years now. I have contact with several guys in Beto. It's as bad as any other prison, and yes there are a lotta young dudes there. I travelled from Europe to the States to go and visit my hubby last year. The guards sure love to give both inmates and their visitors a hard time during visitation (or maybe they couldn't stand the fact that we were approved for special visitation?)

I don't know if your hubby has kids, but they do have a 'family day' or 'father's day' coming up in april. this basically means that the visitation with the family will be in the chapel instead of in the visitation room, guards are in 'regular' clothes, no uniforms, kids can run around and they can play games.
there are a lotta educational programs, the church does organize shows where inmates can perform for the other inmates
the mailroom is kinda slow though and some wings are on lockdown a lot. what wing is ur hubby on?
