Just wanted to let everyone know....Skip's PO told him to go ahead and get the SR22 Insurance, and he will start the wheels in motion to at least get his occupational license for work!!!!

This is WONDERFUL news, as Skip has already been back to work for 2+ weeks. He has an incredible job, and he has been "hitching" rides to work. One of the biggest stipulations from the board was "he is unable to operate a motor vehicle without express, written consent from his supervising parole officer." We are thrilled about this developement, and it is helping to enforce a return to society. We are anxious to get the judge's approval on the occupational license so that we can jump that hurdle and put it behind us.

Things are going SO good!!! You guys keep the faith....there are better times ahead!!!

Thanks for listening,
kath

Kath,

I remember that Skips charge was DWI, I had one of those as well. The best thing to is call the DPS and make sure that his drivers liscense has not been revoked or suspended. It will make sure that there are no outstanding warrents that haven't been cleared in the system.

First you have to get an SR-22 from n insurance agency. You can mail the forms to Austin but it takes awhile.

I went down to Austin and took care of everything at one time. I had to pay $150.00 to DPS for some fee due to receiving a DWI. The state office for the SR-22 is not far from the DPS office and should go there before you go to DPS.

If you have any other questions let me know.

Congratulations!!!!
