My wife is incarcerated in CCWF and she's paroling in less than 30 days. She wants me to obtain a "Parole Box Label" and send her a "Parole Box" A.S.A.P. How do I get a "Label" and what can I send in a "Parole Box?"

I think that is the clothing that she will be alowed to put on when she is released. The best thing to do is call the prison and ask how to obtain the label

The way I did this was order my husband his clothes from an authorized dealer. Ask her what size she thinks she is and then send them. I uses ACCESS for mine. He got them in about a week. Hope this helps.

Can the inmate have their personal clothes sent to them? If they can't what would they do, leave in their underwear and then get dressed in the car? Also are they allowed to take their personal property with them e.g. TV set?

Yes, you can send their personal clothes, (or new clothes), 30 days before their release date, they are called dress-outs. If they don't receive any dress-outs, the prison will issue release clothing, the inmate pays for them..
When they are released they can take their personal property, or send it home. Usually they give their things away to the guys that don't have anything. My son gave all his stuff away before he left. (except his letters, pictures, etc. he sent those home before his release)

When you send the parole clothes you can send them their clothes or new ones which I suggest because her clothes may be a little snug now. Anyway make sure you put parole dress outs on the box in big letters so they know when they are delivered.

My wife is scheduled for release on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 22, 2007 from CCWF in Chowchilla. Can anyone tell me what time they usually release prisoners (ex.: mornings, afternoons, evenings) and what type of bus will be bringing her home to Los Angeles (ex.: Prison Bus, Greyhound, etc.).

My wife is to be released from C.C.W.F. in the near future. Her out date is on a Saturday. She told me in a letter that she believes they will make her wait untill the following Monday. She claims that C.C.W.F. doesn't do releases on Saturdays.
My question : Is this legal? Wouldn't holding an inmate past there scheduled release date be considered unlawful imprisonment?
It seems to me that if an inmates release day fell on a weekend that they would release them on the Friday before or at midnight on Saturday Am.
Why should they have to remain for the additional week-end? Forgive me in advance this is just what my wife told me she has heard. If anyone knows How this actually works I would really like to hear from you.
IT sounds petty and Trivial, But I have learned many things that just doesn't make alot of sense when dealing with CDC.

Bewildered too say the least. Bo
