Hi all, and merry Beltane Full Moon everyone, or for those in the Nthrn hemisphere, happy Halloween! :D

Beltane is the peak of Spring - a time of fertility & growth, activity, raised testosterone levels in mammals & general hanky panky (I wish!). So I've been out in the garden a fair bit getting the vegies happening; getting worried about the weeds getting rather rampant in the bush; and thinking again of getting a goat so I don't have to pay someone to do brushcutting every 2 weeks so we (as in the dogs, chooks & I) can see the snakes before we tread on them.

The water's warming up in the creek, but I'm a bit of a wuss when it comes to cold water, so it'll be another couple of weeks at least before I dive in. I've been enjoying the fireflies of an evening & walking in amongst them down near the 'faerie pool' (see attached), where the tree ferns are sprouting new fronds. My 3 chooks are happily full-time free-range now, they like to lay their eggs next to the house. They discovered that there's a table outside my bedroom window that they can jump up on, squawk & peck at the window so I wake up to feed them. I'm being very strong tho & not pandering to their idea of the 'pecking order' - I just pull the blankets over my head & ignore them. :blah:

Anyway hope you are all doin well, enjoying the Spring & handling your hormones (she says as she has another hot flush - aaaarrrrrgggghhhhh!!!!).

Huge hugs & Pixie Blissings,
DingoGirl

JD, the fairy pool looks really nice!! Very relaxing.

Chooks waking you up to feed them? They must be demanding chooks!! LOL

Things have been rather hectic here. Haven't had much time to do anything for myself. Hopefully it will all slow down soon. Not much else to report. :)

Oh JD that pool is so lovely - the weather is getting hotter and I would be there! With the photos you show I wish I could spend some time in the beautiful landscape you have.

Things here are getting busy -
Still trying to find a new job not easy as I have been looking for a long time now.
The Teenage kids aagghhh, tell you what one of them is teaching Hubby and I all about it. Hubby has started to warn others you think prison is hard try it with a pretty little 13yr girl and nothing you can do about it cause you are stuck in here! Hoping this is a passing phase with her.
Trying to buy a new car - the mechanic told me 6mths ago it does not have long left, and now she is showing me she will be passing on soon - I dont like car shopping or finance shopping - you need a book of codes!
Have postponed school for this term as I am a bit worn out and need to spend more time with the Teenagers.

Going to Tassie in 2 wks - Looking forward to the choc factory tour. Not sure what else to do there with the kids. Any Ideas??

We have the neighourhood kids getting ready for Trick or treat and my teenagers made me buy lollies for them - why cant we trick them? I would like to do that LOL.

How is everyone else going, anyone doing anything for Halloween/ Beltane Full Moon?

Hehehe... teenage kids... I've bin there - and survived! Still don't know how my mother survived my teen years tho... don't worry - it *is* only a passing phase - they grow out of it around 18 (girls anyway - boys a wee bit longer :D)

Good luck with the car hunting - go Toyota, I always reckon.

Take them for a spin down the Franklin River - that'll wake them up! (brrrr)
What about checking out some caves or something? I've got a friend in Hobart, who has a 21 yr old - I'll ask her what there is for young folk to do around the traps if you like.

Hey that would be cool! You open the door, they say "Trick or treat!" and you throw egg and flour all over them! :ha:

Hi all,
well as of Thursday we only have 1 month to go, YAYYAYY, well that provided that he gets back his parole, we have to wait till the 16th for that. But i am quietly hopefull and very very excited to say the least.
Day leaves are bittersweet, but i wouldn't swap it for the world.
Other than that i've finally found a house, well house is a generous term, it's pretty run down , but it's ours and an address for the parole board, and too me thats all that matters.
I hope everyone else out there is well and as happy as can be expected.
hugs to you all

Katy that is great they are recommending Parole - I hope it all goes well.

Thanks JD - we do survive the teenage years - my Mum has told me since the kids were born when your kids become teenagers I cant have anything to do with you call me when they are 18.

As for me
I don't know what has changed so much but I am getting call after call for job interviews - fingers crossed I choose the one that is right for me.

The kids told the trick or treaters not to come to our house cause our Mum is tricking everyone! They encouraged me to buy lots of lollies suggesting many will be over this year- well no surprise when we did not get 1 person on the night and they got all the lollies!

next Sat I am off to Tassie - I will look up the caves, I have enjoyed the caves in NSW & Vic.

How is everyone else?

Katy that is wonderful indeed! How's the new house?

Rozz, we're hangin to hear if you've got any news on parole yet...?

We're expecting to hear tomorrow if JD's C3/External Leave application got signed off today - if so, he'll get his first day leave on Sat week!

So Em you're a wanted woman, huh?! Which job did you choose to go for?

I reckon that through the teens grandparents are actually very important, as long as they're not judgemental.

Hey all

Well I finally got a really good job - I cant believe my luck - great pay, RDO every 2 wks, because I am starting they have arranged a weekend away all paid for so we all get to know each other, problem is my Sister is flying down from Darwin that weekend cant stay too long and if I could stay all weekend I would not see Hubby that weekend. I hope this place is as good as it sounds so far. I am shocked.

I am leaving for Hobart today. We think we may go to Hastings for the caves and might go Port Arthur to see the old convict sites there and of course the choc factory. Will be back Tuesday.

Hope you all stay well. See you all soon. Love Em77

Hiya all :)
it's great to hear that good things are happening
EM, hows the job going?

JD's Girl, how did he application for C3 go?

Moving was hell...but its done now just all the unpacking.....aaaarrggghhh...

We have our parole hearing on Friday, so thats exciting, even more exciting is that because Jeff has finished his course as of tomorrow, the head of his unit reckons that he could be home as soon as monday/tuesday next week.:D

So the countdown to Friday is killing me, it feels like forever away, i'm not going to get my hopes up though because well basically i don't believe anything they say and am planning on counting down to the 1st as of Friday.

So all in all, everything is looking good,
Hope everyone else out there is healthy and happy
hugs to you all

Hey Katy that is sooooooo exciting! Yeh I know you gotta not get too excited cos it could still all go to crap, so we'll all be excited for you instead! we'll be hangin to hear how it goes on Fri.

JD's C3 got signed off by the Gov, so it looks like we get our first day leave on Saturday! Not that I'm getting excited.... :D :D I can't bring him home for it cos I live too far away, so it'll be straight to a motel with him for the day hehehe

Congrats on the new job, Em - hope it all goes well, and that you have a great time in Tassie.

Hey all,

Tassie was great - the landscape took my breath away. PS Tassie was not cold!
Start the new job 3/12 - looking forward to it. Dont want to say goodbye to some of my workmates - some are like family.

Hi all,

Yep I had a great weekend thanks - Sat in the motel, Sun in the C3 visiting area which is a nice private little picnic area - it was lovely to hang out under the trees without someone watching over you all the time. Knowing we had the next day together as well made it easier to take him back on Sat, and only another 11 days to go till his next day leave. All going well I'll be able to bring him home for the weekend at the end of Dec.

I must say it was all a bit weird tho... I thought I'd be an emotional mess before, during & after, but I think I actually shut down a bit instead. I had a lovely time, I just felt a bit numb... I'm not complaining, mind you, it was just weird.

Em good to hear you had a great trip to Tassie - but sad that you came back & got sick! I hope you get well soon so that you're firing on all cylinders for your new job!

(((JD))) thats fabulous news.:) I am sooooo pleased that things are going your way at last.Weekend leave in a motel...WOW, how good must that have been???;) It must start to feel like this nightmare is slowly winding down, when you get to milestones like this.Have a great time on all your weekend leaves, i'm sure you will. When will JD be home for good?

I am glad to see that things are going well for everyone else, as well.
Looks like I am still the only one that cant get an inch closer to having my beloved home. I cant even get him back to the same state, so still 19 months of torture to look forward to for me.

Big hugz,

Hi Gang, remember me? Sorry I haven't been around much. Work is keeping me busy and by the time I get home at night I'm too tired to even think about getting on the computer.

Em, I'm so glad you enjoyed Tassie. Cal took me there for a long weekend a couple of years ago and I loved it. Did you do the Salamanca market?

Katy and Dingo Girl I am so happy for both of you. Congratulations on the engagement Katy. Sounds so romantic.

Roz, you must be so excited about your next visit to see Jeff. Only a matter of days now before you set off. Hope you get some special time together. I'll be thinking of you hon.

Cal is coping well with HD. Can't believe he's almost half way through it and then will be on parole. Unfortunately the job we thought he had waiting for him fell through so when he finishes HD he'll be job hunting but we'll cross that bridge when we come to it. Aside from that I haven't much news to tell but will keep looking in when I have a chance.

Hi All,

Gee Wissy time has flown by so quick. Shame the job fell through. Say hi to Cal.

Roz they are not keeping him forever and he will be home soon, I know the days and nights seem to last forever and not having much contact makes it all so much harder. he will be in your arms home sweet home.

Hey JD Good to hear you had a good weekend with your loved one, it is wierd how we think we will be a mess and some how we cut ourselves off a bit to stop the pain. I think we have all done that.

I have my new car coming, I pick it up soon, they gave me a really good deal. Cant wait to be driving away in it. It is a Hyundai Elantra 06 elite eddition.

Unfortunately have been very sick still, have been in hospitalfor a short stay - hope no one in Vic needs to go to hospital as they told me they are all full and cannot accept anymore people as they told many people in the hopsital, I saw them even turning people away in emergency room - so I am taking it easy this weekend - well try have a SPECIAL visit with Hubby on Sat!! :) oh oh oh!!

We had some new additions to our family recently - one little girl came very early - 27wks - I think she could not wait to see the love in mum and dad's eyes. All are doing well. ( Mum was found with cancer, Mum had surgery and she is doing fine)

My Lil Sis is coming down from Darwin this weekend and I cant wait. She will be here for 10 days but she told me she is looking at moving back here in Jan!! YYIIPPEE I miss them so much.

Not long til Chrissy - I am finishing up on the chrissy items. Just spending my well earned - not much left now! My kids just keep adding to the list.
