rainydayw 11-17-2003, 11:14 PM Hello to All!!
I took advantage of all 3 mags that were listed and thank you very much! Does anyone know where to go for maybee the same thing (free??!!) for car mags. or something like Muscle & Fittness??
Guess what I'm asking is are there other places to loof for even more variety of magazine offers??
These sure beat buying at the bookstore and then having to pay for media mail shipping...it's really cheap but free is better and direct mail will mke our guys and gals a whole lot happier when mail is delivered!!
God Bless You All!
Bonnie
chic-rock 11-17-2003, 11:18 PM I haven't seen any of those magazines offered anywhere for free but if I do I will post them for you.
rainydayw 11-18-2003, 12:33 AM It seems I read back a ways about someone mentioning mags like car & driver etc. so maybe someone will see this and we will find other places that list mags for free!!
Thanks for the quick comeback and for keeping an eye out!
Take care & God Bless!
Bonnie

I put the CDC# next to the p.o.box # or the cell #. It works that way.

hisgirl 12-17-2003, 12:02 AM thank you, I just happened to find this the day before I got the money order to send for the subscriptions!!
rainydayw 12-17-2003, 12:33 AM I sent for Maxim, Blender, Stuff and some others but it's only been a couple weeks so still have a ways to go; I imagine we'll be lucky (with Christmas & all) for them to start getting them in 2 months which would be l mo. past the calendar month we're in as mags. are almost always 1 mo. ahead.Guess this is one of those things where "patience is a virtue" comess in!!
Bonnie
Blossom6425 12-17-2003, 03:53 PM Wow, thanks!
rainydayw 01-14-2004, 12:41 AM Thanks so much!! My son just got his 1st magazine yesterday, Field&Stream, and is really excited about the others cause I guess now he believes he might really be getting these freebies!! And this one is one of the best!! It took about 8 wks. for him to get his first one so hang in there ladies-they are comin'!!
Once again, thanks to you Ati2d!! You're a gem for sharing!!
Bonnie
ToughTimes 01-14-2004, 11:11 PM So it took about 8 weeks?? Cause I got an email confirmation on 10/29/03 that said it would take 6-8 weeks and NOTHING. I sent a subscription to him and myself and I haven't gotten anything either. I ordered Maxium, Blender, and Stuff .... and just tonight ordered Rolling Stone. How long did it take everyone else???? Getting a little miffed here. 8 weeks would have been 12/29/03 ... now it's over 9 weeks, almost 10.
rainydayw 01-15-2004, 12:55 AM Hi ToughTimes!
I did same as you and F & S just came 2 days ago but I figured as much with the holidays landing in there with requests and all. Hopefully we will hear good news soon!
Bonnie
sweetpea 01-18-2004, 10:16 PM hey guys...there are lotsa freebies at this site! have fun!!
Free Mags!!!! (http://www.100megsfree3.com/arlana/freebies/magazines.htm)
sweetpea 01-18-2004, 10:34 PM FYI: some of those on that site i just listed have FINE print that say they will send a freebie and then the receiver, if they do not want to be billed, has to send back something that sends cancelled. Only a few have this, but just beware of the fine print before signing up!! :)
ToughTimes 02-11-2004, 11:32 PM He still does not have the magazines ... and it's been like 3.5 months. He keeps asking about them. What a crock! :(
ToughTimes 02-12-2004, 10:12 AM ati ... we are both in wisconsin. maybe too many people ordered right before Christmas, but I got an email confirmation and everything. I ordered some for me as well and I haven't gotten any of those magazines either. He would really love more to read, I feel so bad. I wish they would get there already. I will try that American Cowboy one.
THANKS! :)
Girliebomb 02-13-2004, 09:34 AM Hey we havent recieved the maxim or blender and i ordered the before christmas too...I think it was right around thanksgiving. If there gonna offer the stuff they should send it!! I just signed up for shape from magscentral yesterday...I just wonder if I'll get that! :pissed:
California Sunshine 02-15-2004, 05:31 PM Thanks! I HOPE he gets it,so far he hasn't got any of the freebies I signed up for or even the one I paid for!! :(
rainydayw 02-15-2004, 09:13 PM My son so far has gotten a couple of the mags and one that was supposed to go to him (STUFF!) began coming to my office address I guess due to the answers in the questionaire!! Whoops!!! Also, if anyone remembers there were free calendars offered from the Humane Society? Well, I ordered one for my younger son and one for me and one for the older son in Beaumont and we got the calendars just yesterday and I don't know about Beaumont yet but that was right before the holidays!! Keep ur fingers crossed ladies but I wouldn't put it past a few sticky fingered mailroom people to be intercepting some of the mags either?
Bonnie
I ordered some for my guy several months ago. He never said anything about getting them or not so I asked him in the last letter I sent. As soon as I know I'll post here. I also wonder if some of the mail room gaurds are taking them. It seems that some are getting them and some arent'. If this whole thing was fake then nobody would be getting them.
For anyone that has subscribed to mags months ago and still haven't received them I just ordered this last one for my guy and it said the mag should arrive in 10-12 weeks. I guess that means if it's been 3-4 months for any of us then we shouldn't give up.

California Sunshine 03-16-2004, 11:58 AM So far I have had NO luck with any of the free stuff I have ordered :(
Has anyone else got the free mags with no problems?
sweetpea 03-16-2004, 12:14 PM I'm sorry Cali- I hope he gets them soon!!! My boyfriend said he's been getting TONS of magazines :) Ya sure you put the DC#/Inmate # and all? In FL they won't get it without it :(
ati2d 03-20-2004, 05:13 PM When I fill these out I just use the abbreviation for the prison, like CSATF. I don't use periods (.), just PO BOX1111, for instance. No space between the letters & #'s, like for the CDC# (R11111). The bldg # & cell # can be put like D1/111u. The magazine people seem to be able to figure it out.
Hope this helps!
Kelly13540 03-21-2004, 12:04 AM How many of you have actually gotten the magazines you ordered and not gotten a bill afterwards??? How many never got em?? Just curious, cuz this seems like a great idea!
Thank you!! I struggled with the address for hours!! I have had so much mail rejected for whatever reason they want to make up. If the mag people can figure it out... I'm going for it!!

My sunshine has gotten tons and tons of these freebies for a few months now and neither of us have recieved any bills :) I also signed my dad up for one of them and myself for the organic one and have not received a bill for either one!
msveggie 03-22-2004, 05:00 PM Alright, maybe I'm just not getting it. Someone tell me what I'm doing wrong if anything.
I went to the magmall link above. I filled out the information and took the short questionaire. But I never saw anything saying congratulations or your subscription has been accepted, etc. Don't they typically say something to that affect and display the mailing address? How do I know the subscription went through?
Jaded333 04-01-2004, 11:03 PM Hi....there is a lot of great info in this thread Thanks! I ordered Maxim and Stuff for my man back in October, received the confirmation etc....He has not received it...He is in Gowanda New York...anybody got a man in Ny who has received the subscription???? Links to change Magazine Subs, etc!
Here's a great link! (swiped it )
It's a list of all the links to many magazines to change your address, check on your account, etc. I was able to find out why I never received my ESPN magazine.... they suspended it because I put down the wrong zip accidentally! Easily fixed!
You can also easily change delivery addresses if you want to give away any extra subscriptions, plus check on when your subscription is expiring!
PLUS... TV Guide has a link to change your format from cable to DirectTV listings!

California Sunshine 04-20-2004, 09:04 PM http://www.ofree.net/magazines.html?001
Links to quite a few different free magazines
rainydayw 04-22-2004, 01:30 AM Hi California Sunshine!
I'm going thru the same thing as everybody else when it comes to the free mags! My son got Field & Stream first and that was probably 6-8 wks. ago and I thought "great-it worked"! Well, then he got some mag about some bizarre kind of subjest that he couldn't figure out why I ordered it and I told him "I didn't!" LOL!! Then a few wks. later I get a copy of "STUFF" which is one of the feebies we had been waiting on and that was great only they sent it to ME at my home address"" So I called and told them I needed an address change and it was a freebie from the web and she told me it would take till May for him to get it at the USP!! So for 3 mos. or so I have been cutting it up and sending it to him and so far all was good!! But talk about a pain in the ASS! LMAO! Then next thing I know I got a bill for it so I decided what the hell it wasn't that much and went ahead and paid it! It just wasn't worth the hassle of trying to straighten it out again!!! LOL!!
So am eagerly awaiting a letter that says he has gotten his copy!!
As far as any others go have not heard of any more being received yet!!
So that's my tale of the freebies so far but will always keep trying when new sites come up--it 's worth a try--guess maybe it's true that nothings free anymore!!
We' see what happens!!
Bonnie
ati2d 04-22-2004, 02:35 PM Hi California Sunshine!

Bonnie
I just wait for the free offer to come around again & order a whole new subscription. My friend gets all of the free subscriptions I've ordered for him & his cellie & some of his friends! The guards are not happy about delivering about a dozen magazines everyday!
:D
Bob-bi-lu 04-22-2004, 03:37 PM Is the correct website I go to for these free magazines http://www.ofree.net/magazines.html
Also if I register my fiance for these free magazines will he only get them for 1 month or is it free for a year?
Any info. will help, thanks in advance!
ati2d 05-16-2004, 02:01 PM I can't get the link to work now..... any suggestions?
Sometimes if you copy the link & then paste it on your browser it will work.

It was some hunting and fishing magazine! So go girls if you have a sportsman or a golfer! PS My friend is not a hunter...Judy

Ebony's spice 06-27-2004, 11:37 PM Thank you so much! I just ordered one for Ebony. He loves the outdoors and so do I. I love to go camping, backpacking and hiking. It's a great magazine to send someone who is missing the outdoors, I think, because they can "escape" into the pictures and stories. Again, thank you!

California Sunshine 04-10-2005, 11:12 AM Mrs G they do? They all worked for me still! Wonder whats wrong?
MrsBenji 04-10-2005, 11:13 AM All that I tried worked, but I did get an error when I went to submit the info for the Maxim one.

Has anyone ever had their guy recieve these free mags? I tried them way back when this was still a fairly new thread and my husband has never recieved any of the magazines I signed him up for.
California Sunshine 04-10-2005, 12:02 PM Amy I have had ok luck with these my ex got quite a few and his friends that are still in have recieved probably 3 so far of the 8 -10 I've signed them up for.
MrsBenji 04-10-2005, 02:33 PM B gets swamped with them. I send some from here and some from a newsletter I get. I send them on any topic that might interest him or any of the guys he hangs out with. Someone will read them. :)
I always make sure to put his number and the abbreviation of the facility in the first line of the addy and the street as the second line now because we had some problems with subscriptions I paid for early on in his bid.
Good luck!
Jenn
DENIMBLUE 04-10-2005, 02:47 PM ...I get query error for Maxim, too...
Manzanita 04-10-2005, 05:14 PM Amy, I used one company and he never got the magazines either! and I paid $16. too!
1dayatatime 04-10-2005, 05:20 PM I have never paid for any!! I refuse!! J gets all kind of magazines. I just registered for more free magazines.
ONE
MrsBenji 04-10-2005, 05:27 PM I have also found that with subscriptions I have paid for, that if you call or email or contact the publisher, they will extend the subscription for missed issues. Sometimes you just have to move the addy around a bit.
Good luck!
Jenn
Shane's_Wife 04-15-2005, 10:48 AM When the Maxim offers were going on, i signed my hubby up and he's been getting them. I signed myself up too, and I never got them. With the Stuff Magazines, I get them, I also signed my hubby up and he never got them... hmm, weird how that one worked out.
queenmae2u 04-15-2005, 11:14 AM UareMyOnlyOne, did you happen to use the same email address when signing yourself and your hubby up for them? That may be a factor. I have them sent to my man, myself and some pen pals, which I used different email addresses and they all have received them, (including myself). Just my 2 cents worth LOL.

I took it from 24 pages down to 13 - taking out all the dead links post... I also copied the links from some post that had several links dead and like one or two still valid.....so below I have compiled a list of those links I copied of ones in post I deleted out...some may however be duplicate post meaning they are already posted somewhere here on the site - which I left those links alone that were still valid!!! SO NOW ALL THE LINKS HERE ARE VALID!!!! Some post still have links that are not valid BUT in that post the majority of links ARE VALID!!! :)

MollyBawn 07-20-2005, 09:26 PM Scuba Diving sometimes comes up at Start Sampling. I have an extra sub I don't want, but it only has like 6 months left on it. PM me and I can try and switch it over to your name and addy.
I have noticed that this wedbite has been offering a new free sub every day as some kind of promotion. However, they run out very fast. it pays to check this link several times a day, whenever you think of it:

I'll try and post the links here as soon as I find them.

thechefswife 08-11-2005, 11:46 AM Has anyone actually received the magazines. I tried to send my husband Stuff magazine from one of these links back in February or March and he never received it.
Homiegirl 08-11-2005, 11:48 AM I think it takes a long time for them to get the first issue maybe 4-5 months...
MollyBawn 08-11-2005, 12:29 PM It depends on the source of the subscription. magCentral is very reliable but casn take anywhere from 8 weeks to 4 months. Freebizmags is prettyy good too but they take anywhere from 6 weeks to 5 months. usually the two of them only take 8 to 10 weeks on average.
The other places - hit and miss.
Magazine-City - the people who did DANCE, RELIX, LIFE EXTENSION & MEN'S Journal - very reliable bu only if you confirmed the sub via email.
Discount-Mags - very spotty, not always reliable on the free ones. Better at renewals than new subs. Why? i don't know.
Magazine-Island - not at all reliable
Magmall - very good but takes many months
Freebiepeople - a scam
Adynesystems - very good just takes 8 to 10 weeks
VU-Games - good, 8 to 10 weeks
ZMIRC - hit and miss
Hope that helps

Now, get your one-year subscription of 6 issues for FREE!
Really! You can get a 1-year subscription of 6 issues to Batanga Latin Music magazine WITHOUT paying any money - no hidden shipping charges, no small text - just a GREAT magazine about the Latin music that you love.
We hear you. You love Latin music and you think it’s about time America learns that there’s more to it than salsa dancing on a hot Miami night or serenading Mariachis in a Mexican restaurant. It’s ripping rock chords with a flamenco cantora singing background vocals. It’s Tango electronica. It’s hip-hop rhythms and crude poetry with an accordion accompaniment. It’s reggae, rap and groove. It’s en español, it’s in Spanglish, it’s in English, and it’s filled with culture and history.
All Latin music; All the time - And, best of all - its FREE
We’re right there with you, digging deeper, spreading the word, and bringing you more: More CD reviews from just about every genre of Latin music; exclusive photos; ethnic, regional and simply good-looking fashion; reviews of Latin films found in corner theatres to films hitting the big screen; some cool, colorful original artwork; and music and video gadget reviews to drone out the sound of rubber on road during those long trips down the highway, and keep you prepared for that surprise Latin artist spotting on the street, or when you win that backstage pass.
We think the best thing about Batanga Latin Music magazine is that we listen to you. If you think we’re slow dancing under disco balls when you’d rather be rocking in a downtown bar with black walls and black lights, give us the word and we’ll help you spread it.
SIGNUP NOW for your FREE subscription to Batanga Latin Music magazine!
Why are we giving away Batanga Latin music subscriptions? Because we're tired of Latin music getting shoved to the back of music bus and we need more people like you to spread the word. This is not a come on - you will not get a bill! This offer is for real and you should take us up on it immediately.
