Please reply with any information you can think of for first time inmates.
Please share all you can for all of us to read and learn. I myself am in a panic because my son no longer in county jail.
Ca St Pr La Co Lancaster
Custody release
SP4. That's all the info we have on him for days now.
What goes on in reception?
What is it for?
Do they change their security level for good behavior or school or work?
Do they evaluate the inmates for placement in the prison?
Do they tend to transfer inmates closer to family?
Do inmates have to request transfer?
Do we request it?
Can our lawyer request relocation or firecamp somehow with effect?
How does the inmate get approved for firecamp?
Does the judges innitial recommedation have any bearing?
Who does not qualify for firecamp?
How long does it take when approved till they go to firecamp?
Does the amount of strikes or counts effect this approval?
Does the amount of sentence time effect approval?
What can the inmate do to get credit to leave prison earlier?
Any info about anything would be fantastic. Thank you so much!
Love and Blessings!

Hi My son is at Lancaster. He scheduled for release tomorrow. Hopefully your son will not be there too long.
Your son has been taken to Lancaster on the date it states for custody release. Reception can be several months. if his sentence is short he may stay in reception the whole sentence.
Phone number is 661-729-2000
I know how you feel, I didn't sleep the whole week an empty feeling like he disappeared.
You need his cdc# when you have that number you can send him paper, envelopes, stamps. if you want to send money you can go to JPAY.com But you need his cdc# and you should be able to get it after a few days in prison.
Hopefully he writes you rightaway, then you will have his exact address (cell#, yard ) .
This was my son's furst time, Hopefully last
Write him right away because the mail getting to him is so slow...10 days, 2 weeks, last one 18 days. but mail to you is quick. Reception is a cell with one other person. so my son said he looked forward to mail. highlight of his stay.
Hope this helps a little.
oh you can send books from amazon.com

Ja Mom,
Thank you so much for posting a reply. The information is so helpful. I'm going to do what you suggested, to write to him right away with the items that can be sent. I called the number yesterday and was able to get the CDC number. So I'll try to find out what address is best to send things in reception. And I'll look into the Jaypay and Amazon for the books you suggested.
I'm very happy to know your son is going to be released today/tomorrow. I can only imagine what joy is in your heart to get him home with you. Do they release them at the prison they're housed at? If so, be safe on your journey to get him. I know it's been a tough time for your son, you and your entire family.
If you see this thread anytime soon. I thank you.
The question I constantly can not free my mind of right now, is if it's bad and unsafe there as I think it is.
Love and Blessings!

Love and blessings,
Your welcome.
I was in your position just a short time ago. I worried so much about safety.
Hopefully, he has a good cellmate!
address is: Ca State Prison - LAC

Lancaster, Ca 93536-7620
call lancaster and give then the cdc # and they should give you his Facility which is his yard and cell number. then you can write him. then they will move him after his medical clearance and have a new cell number. It just takes so long for mail to get to him that I say this to you. But the Jpay.com is quick about 3 days and he will get a notice of the amount.
For my son it was a way of letting him know I knew where he was.
Yes, they are released from Lancaster and he took the bus back home. Also my son said he really thought the book helped and gave him hope.
Hope your boy is not there too long. My son did pushups got up to 1300! since there is nothing to do.
He looks well! even good color from some time out in the yard.
Keep the faith
I will pray for your boy
I'm still worried.......parole

Ja Mom!
That is fantastic your son is home! I'm so happy he's safe now. wow! Don't let him out the door! hehe :)
It gives me great hope knowing your son went and came home safely. You have helped me sooo much with your words. Your experience. I found out information about Jpay. That is such good thinking you said that he'll know that we know where he is. Well do the Jpay today.
I wonder, I can't figure this out. If they get money in their books from Jpay, can they order something soon? or is it a 3 month wait?
Ours was sentenced to 2 years. This is a nightmare. And I know other's have so much more time to do. It get's better everyday with so much support and God on our side.
Thank you for the addy and information. Having feedback means sooo much, especially since you have had the experience.
Love and Blessings to you, your family and your son.
Thank you for the prayers. It surely works.
You are in my prayers

blessthe inmates,
They get to go to store once a month. so whenever that time of month for where he is located.
You say his sentence is 2 yrs. Depending on the crime and if violent dictates how long his stay. if first time and non violent then he may do 1 yr. Also if he has credits from county time. When he sees his counselor he will find out the earliest release date.
I can hardly believe I know all this from just last 2 months!
