Hello, I am looking for somebody to email and maybe PM about life in Brickeys. I am located overseas.
My brother has been in Brickeys for about 4 years now. He started out at the diagnostic unit (Pine Bluff I believe), then went to Tucker. He got mixed up in the scandals a few years ago when some of the prison administrators lost their jobs so they sent him to Brickeys. The directors in ADC know him and make it tough on him. He never had a problem with the law until about 1995 when he fell into some money and starting playing with drugs. He is not even from AR. He just got busted there. 30 years. I know now that he picked the worst state in the USA to be arrested and go to jail. At least they stopped selling their blood.
He writes me about once per week. Everything he writes makes me sad. I send him some money now and again, at least they have that internet site to send money, even if it does charge the 10% fee. I am in the Army and overseas for almost 5 years now in Bosnia, Lebanon, Iraq and Afganistan. I wanted to maybe make a suprise visit on leave a few years back but I could not find one of those visitor application forms, and the prison would not send me one. They said it had to come from the inmate.
Anybody out there who knows Brickeys or has somebody there (or maybe works there)?
