What religious denominations are represented in the population of lifers where you are?

What particular Religious services are given time in a chapel or meeting room? Which ones aren't given the time for services?

How many of you have already 'retired' a member of staff there? Outlasted the warden, or the deputy warden, or a Captain or LT of the guard? This question is just put here to get some sense of perspective... You'll notice a greater turnover in staff, over time, than inmates in the Liferzone.
It's another reason for lifers to take an interest in the decisions being made about their lives. They'll be living with them a helluvalot longer than those who made the menial decisions.

Feel free to print this out, or convey the questions to the Lifers in your life. If they chose to reply, please PM, please PM, please PM the replies to me. I will be constructing a thread with the answers to each separately, so folks who come in later can play along....

If your person would like to write more about a topic than the question asks for, or if they have anything else on their mind on the subject(s) feel free to write to your heart's content.

If it's not used in the questionnaire/answer thread, it may be given a thread of its own (under whatever name you've chosen).

This is the first (of many) questionnaire to be posted here. Please only add to this thread any suggestions and questions you might like to see on another questionnaire.. (I can move them out as they are used in future questionnaires...

Thanks to you all, in and out, for playing along...

Thanks.. I know this questionnaire was a while in coming.. But I think it will (if folks want to answer it) give a bit of dimension to the types of places and general conditions which they have to work with and live with. There are also a few variable ones in there... Like how often can you go to canteen in a week/month (by rule) and how often then do you actually 'make' canteen. Might give those of us out here some sense of real life as well as the 'possibilities'..

The unit I was in could go weekly, on proscribed days at given hours. You went to one line the day before to get a # and then throughout the canteen day you'd hear assorted ranges of numbers being called to canteen. The canteen following the posting of state pay was always a bear. Off weeks were easier (faster) and the week before pay was always a scoot.. mighty few folks had any money left.

Life, I just sent out this questionnaire a day or two ago, so we should have it back pretty soon. It's four days there and four days back plus whatever time it takes in between to get the letter written.

Please PM the replies to the questionnaire to me. I will construct threads (on topic) with the replies to follow. If the person who filled them out has written some sort of stand alone narrative as well, I will post it as a thread independently, giving credit to their 'new' name as the author.

Star.. this was a very old thread.. that another forum moderator had started right when the lifers forum .. was born:))) soooo it was just something to start up the forum and to get a "feel" for what OUR lifers prison settings (housing) and daily life/activities rules and regs... were.. anything from how many visits.. to how many books ..or religous activities.. I believe the answers have .. been posted a while ago..
Hope this helps you understand.. it was totally voluntary information..

Peace
