Got a few questions about things we can send. What about glue.. like making a homemade card. I know I glued a pic on something on his letter.. and he got it. Also.. glitter.. on cards or paper. Is that allowed. Im talking about already on it from the store or made in to it. I wouldnt even try to do make something and add glitter to it myself. Okay.. does anyone know about the colored paper and like color stationary paper. Is that for inmates only that cant buy it.. or is that for us to. Like we cant write on color stationary or colored paper anymore. Was reading on another site that if they have any letters with colored paper that they keeping, they will get in trouble. That everyone needs to send it home for u or family members to keep. Just trying to figure this all out. Im sending things to the Luther Unit in Navasota, Texas. Any infromation would be helpful.

We are allowed to send our letters on colored paper...it is the offenders who can't. Homemade cards should be fine and the glitter that is on careds you purchase is also acceptable. Some units allow stickers and some don't. If you are in doubt about anything it is best to call the mail room and ask before you mail it. I hope this helps you.

Thanks for the info. My son was sent to Luther this past Monday. I called to see if I could visit and they are still not able to have visits. But if they let me I will go on Mother's day. Can you tell me more about this unit. I am worried about how safe it is. I know some are worse than others.
