Mrs.Juan143 10-17-2007, 03:16 PM Hello I am coming back to visit it has been three and a half long months!!! I am going to be visiting friday to ctf north. I just wanted to know if you ladies could give me an update on what has been going on? If they have changed the way that they hand out the numbers for friday? And if there were any changes in the colors we can wear? I am so nervous that i am getting butterflies as i write this!
Mrs.Renteria 10-17-2007, 06:22 PM CTF is pretty linient with the wardrobe...now i'm not saying go and wear a low cut short , just let your outfit be conservative and i'm sure youll get thru without a problem .I KNOW YOUR FEELING (BUTTERFLIES) I STILL GET THOSE EVERYTIME I GO SEE MY HUSBAND.

Mrs.Juan143 10-18-2007, 01:25 AM Thank you both!!! I know that he is going to be shocked Im not tellin him I am just going to pop up with our son. Dang so no changes that is great I already got an outfit ready and I am so nervous. When did they start sending people out of state? well that's good that it isn't as crowded as it was before. But do you know how they are handing out numbers for Friday?
blocks 10-18-2007, 05:54 PM I don't know if who you are going to see usually works on Friday or not. If so you may want to tell him so he can get off work. Otherwise you may have to wait till he gets off work to visit.
I live in OH and only get to go once a year and always write my son as soon as I book my flight which is usually about 6 weeks in advance, last year he got the letter on Wed. before I got there on Friday. He told me if he had gotten it any later he wouldn't have been able to get off work and I would have had to wait till after he got off to visit. I don't know if this is true of all jobs or just certain ones.
I hope you have a nice visit, I plan to go the 3rd week in Nov. Not looking forward to the trip but I'm sure looking forward to seeing him.

I hope you got to go again and that your visit was better then the day before. Don't forget that if you live more then 250 miles away and haven't visited in 30 days, they won't terminate your visit. That goes for the entire weekend.
Mrs.Juan143 10-23-2007, 01:29 PM I wasn't able to go back due to money issues but this weekend I will be ending out to see him again.

That is suppose to be the rule but in 2005 they cut my visit even though I had traveled about 4000 miles. I live in OH and had not been there for almost a year as I can only afford one trip a year. I visited on Sat and on Sunday they cut my visit We even talked to the visiting sargent but it didn't help. He did file a complaint. Last year everything went fine. I plan to visit the weekend of the Nov 16 so praying that goes well too.

jguevara 11-06-2007, 11:16 AM Hello. My name is Jonda. I'm new to prison talk and noticed your husband is at CTF. My son is also at CTF north facility. Can you give me any helpful information on this facility. I'm so worried about him, and I hope he makes it out okay. Is it a low key facility or just like any average prison? Thank you

Bennymom 11-06-2007, 12:59 PM Welcome. I too am alittle new to all this. My son in law (my son) is also on North Yard. Is there such a thing as average prison? I wish the visiting procedures were faster, but I suppose there are worst out there. I have only been to one other and only went twice. At this facility you can wear sandals and hoods and of course be careful regarding colors. I am not the expert, so I will let the other lady's fill you in more.
teajai71 11-08-2007, 10:43 PM I visited CTF-North this weekend and packed four outfits for the weekend. On Saturday, when Montoya (the one who drives the bus) started calling out the names, he commented on how many of us were wearing black and said that we could wear any colors that weren't similar to the inmate (blue denim and chambray) or the COs (olive/army green). He said all other colors were acceptable (even other shades of green!)

I think alot of people reading these threads get confused with the two prisons, Salinas and CTF. Salinas is much stricter on the dress code. CTF is very laid back. You can even wear flip flops at CTF. Although it's getting a bit cold for them now.

Well I don't have any major problems with the prison a lot of changes have been going on up there. So he could be fine have you been to visit yet?
