I'm going to see my husband this weekend for the first time in 3 months and I'm bringing our 3 1/2 month old daughter, could I bring her car seat? Is a ziplock bag okay for her diaper bag? Can she wear snaps on her clothes? All her clothes have metal snaps on them. And does the bottles have to be by the factory or do i mix it myself and bring them in? Many questions...any help would be greatly appreciated.

Oh wow, is this the first time your husband is going to see your baby? I will be there on Sunday. I don't think you can take a car seat in but I do know you can take a carrier, 6 disposable diapers, 2 transparent bottles with the formula already pre-mixed, 3 jars of sealed baby food, one plastic spoon, 1 pacifier, 1 single layer blanket, 1 change of clothes, and 1 single layer burb cloth. You can put them in a zip lock bag. As long as the bag is clear it's ok. I do not think they will accept clothes with snaps because they will make the metal detector go off. If I were you I would take clothes with no snaps at all. I hope I was of some help. If you have any other questions just feel free to ask. :)

My husband was there when our daughter was born until she was two weeks old and then he was incarcerated. I'm praying she doesn't cry when he holds her, she is just now starting to do that with everyone but me, not that she is around very many people, only 4 others, but two of them are my sons from a previous marriage, and you would think she would be used to them but they are older and busy, it's going to be emotional, we are going on Friday, I'm nervous and I'm too busy to figure out why. Is a car seat/carrier okay? It's a car seat, but used as a carrier as well. I was also wondering if the pre-mixed bottles had to be factory sealed or mixed at home? I understand I can get there at 12pm, he's in the gym so does that mean we take a shuttle? Thank you for all your help!!!

Yes a car seat/carrier is ok. No the pre-mixed bottles do not need to be factory sealed, but if you do have them it's fine. Which gym is your husband at H Dorm or G dorm? If he is in G dorm then you will have to take the shuttle to the other side. If he is in H Dorm you can just walk to the visiting room from the processing area. You can get there at 12. I think that your baby will do fine. I believe she will feel that instant bond with her Daddy. I hope you have a great visit. Are you going all three days?

My hubby is in the Gym, I'm not sure what that means, he's a level 2. I sure hope it goes well, I wish I could go all three days, he's only 37 minutes away but I also have two sons and although they are old enough to be on their own, I just can't stand the thought that no one could get a hold of me if something happens. Does it really take a long time to wait? I hear it's like a two hour wait....If it wasn't for that, I would see him all the time. I'm hoping this first visit will put my mind at ease for our future visits.

Your husband might be on the other side so you would have to go on the shuttle. Sometimes there can be a two hour wait. Lately there has been no wait. You just process and walk in. There has been lockdown since June. So I would call tonight to see what the status is.
